    So I have not found a good solution to add audio advertising to our radio station for users who are not in the stations main area (western Australia).

    So I was wondering is there away that anyone knows of, that would allow a code be it ffmpeg or java/JavaScript to listen for the song that is currently playing (it maybe delayed by 30seconds) and after the song ends start an audio ad from a mongodb database.

    I know how to do the mongodb database part.

    What I need to figure out is how to detect that the song is finishing or other option is to store the stations adverts in the db as raw data or even better we could air a 0.1sec file that is just blank and that filename tells the script to lower audio player ones volume and boost audio two volume.

    When station ads end we play another filename with same length and reverse the process.

    Ok sorry if that’s me thinking out loud but if you have any ideas that would be great.

    The only issue with above is TuneIn app won’t work with an IFrame we need to supply them an audio url.

    So if anyone know how to do this in ffmpeg and only require 1 url which can detect users location that be better solution.

    All ideas welcomed and yes I googled and Bing searched however I don’t have 30,000$ for hardware companies are selling. There has to be an open source solution.

  • FFmpeg : how to make video out of slides and audio

    So i have several images some png and some jpgs. And i have mp3 audio. I want to make a video file don’t care what format.

    So i want either :

    A video made up of xyz size meaning images are centered and cropped if they go beyond dimensions coupled with audio in mp3 format..

    or just one image centered or and cropped, still image, video with audio.

    I have tried copying and pasting things and even modifying them after reading documents but in the end i got a blank video with audio and huge file that took forever to complete.

    I have windows 7.

  • How can I use FFMPEG to fix a mpeg.ts file

    I have an mpegts file that has some minor quality issues. Can I use ffmpeg to create an mp4 file from it and the mp4 file plays fine - meaning the transmuxing to mp4 corrected the problem. I am trying to use ffmpeg to re-encode the mpegts file to another mpegts file and through the transmuxing have the video file fixed. The script I am using :

    ffmpeg -re -i 20170925T214300_S051-0001.ts -pix_fmt yuv420p -vcodec libx264 -r 25 -vf "scale=1024:576" -threads 0 -b:v: 2048k -bufsize 2244k -maxrate 2560k -profile:v baseline -g 50 -x264opts no-scenecut -x264opts force-cfr -an -f mpegts mcclure.ts

    Is what I am trying to do possible ?
