  • ffmpeg Live Streaming Error : av_interleaved_write_frame() : Broken pipe

    5 octobre 2022, par Krishnakumar

I am trying to stream video live using ffmpeg, Input is from a UDP Source. Most of the time it works fine, but I could see the following log lines and ffmpeg stop's the conversion/feed push to the rtmp server. Few log lines below for reference. Is this issue related to network on reaching the destination or source or something that i need to change in the ffmpeg command ?

  • ffmpeg, lower fps with gpu - too many packets buffered

    29 mai 2020, par Alter

I'm trying to lower the fps for a large set of videos. Unfortunately, I don't have much experience with ffmpeg

This is my current command, which is a hybrid of multiple posts. At this point it's more guess work than anything else

    ffmpeg \
  -y -hwaccel_output_format cuda -hwaccel_device 0 -hwaccel cuvid -c:v mpeg2_cuvid \
  -i myinput.mp4 -r 25 -c:v hevc_nvenc-b:v 128K -strict -2 -movflags faststart \
  /workspace/videos/24fps_trial2/rat1-control2.mp4 -c:v hevc_nvenc

The gist of it is just that I'm trying to lower fps and use hardware acceleration since my dataset is large

    The message I get is

Trailing option(s) found in the command: may be ignored.

  • ffmpeg : Extract unknown data stream from video container

    23 juillet 2020, par Pikkostack

I have a .MOV container which contains the following tracks :

    Stream #0:0(eng): Video: h264 (High) (avc1 / 0x31637661), yuv420p(tv, bt709), 3840x2160 [SAR 1:1 DAR 16:9], 100619 kb/s, 29.97 fps, 29.97 tbr, 30k tbn, 59.94 tbc (default)

  handler_name    : DJI.Subtitle

As you can see, stream #0:1, called DJI.meta, is of an unknown data format. I just want to extract the raw data of this stream to a file. So that is the ffmpeg command I tried :

    ffmpeg -i .\DJI_0001.MOV -map 0:1 metadata

But using this command results in the following error :

Unable to find a suitable output format for 'metadata'
metadata: Invalid argument

How can I tell ffmpeg that the data should not be formated, so that only the raw data is extracted ?
