    What's a good solution for web audio streaming ?

    I've read about Flash Media Server, but that's a little too expensive right now, it seems easier than other solutions but can't afford it.

    There is FFmpeg, FFserver, Icecast and SSH among the popular.

    What I want is an easy solution for the user, which I was thinking something with flash. Load up FFmpeg/FFserver or Icecast as server stream and read that stream with a flash player inside the webpage. (I don't want to force users to download VLC or winamp)

    I'm not sure if I'm going the right way.

    Is there any way to append one video file to another ?

    I've got a very large file (2GB) to which I'm trying to append some tiny files ( 4MB). They all are in the same format.

    It's easy to concat several files with ffmpeg for instance, but the whole file is written everytime (i.e. 2GB+4MB are written to the disk everytime when only 4MB are added to the inital file). I'm trying to avoid all this extra disk IO by using a command that would only append the 4MB files. Any idea how to do that ?

  • How can I rename a file from a txt file with Windows bat file ?

    I have a batch script that renames a file to input.mkv so it can be processed by a string of other commands in the bat file with a final file called ProcessedVideo.mkv. I capture the OG file name using "dir *.mkv /b>OG_FileName.txt" before being renamed.

    


    How can I rename the final processed mkv file to the name captured in the OG_FileName.txt and maybe add "_Added-Text.mkv" as the last part of my Batch Script ? (Adding text to the file name is not that important if it is too much trouble).

    


    I really thought this would be easy but I'm defeated.
