XDCam EX gets some friends
21 octobre 2009Sony has announced a couple new additions to the XDCamEX family - the PMW-350 and the PMW-EX1R.
The 350 is a shouldermount camera with interchangeable lenses and 2/3" chips. That puts it somewhere between the 1/2" PDW-F355 and the 2/3" 4:2:2 PDW-700.
The EX1R is a minor bump to the EX1, adding features that users have asked for, like a dedicated viewfinder and a DVCam recording mode.
For me, the most interesting bit of news is that Sony is launching the "MEAD-MS01," an SXS to MemoryStick adapter. I guess Sony noticed that many EX1 and EX3 users have been using SD adapters, and decided to get into that market. And of course, they had to use everyone’s least favorite flash format, Memorystick. I’ll stick to my SD cards for now, but it’s nice to see Sony "legitimize" that recording option a bit.

fftools/ffmpeg : rework keeping track of file duration for -stream_loop
11 octobre 2023, par Anton Khirnovfftools/ffmpeg : rework keeping track of file duration for -stream_loop
Current code tracks min/max pts for each stream separately ; then when
the file ends it combines them with last frame's duration to compute the
total duration of each stream ; finally it selects the longest of those
durations as the file duration. This is incorrect - the total file duration is the largest timestamp
difference between any frames, regardless of the stream. Also change the way the last frame information is reported from decoders
to the muxer - previously it would be just the last frame's duration,
now the end timestamp is sent, which is simpler.Changes the result of the fate-ffmpeg-streamloop-transcode-av test,
where the timestamps are shifted slightly forward. Note that the
matroska demuxer does not return the first audio packet after seeking
(due to buggy interaction betwen the generic code and the demuxer), so
there is a gap in audio. -
ffmpeg - how to use pipe with amovie parameter ?
19 février 2018, par user1347009I am looking for a solution to overlay to mp3 files in which the longer one will be played in the background and the smaller one will continue to play like a loop with that.
My current code is working without pipe :ffmpeg -i 'longer.mp3' -filter_complex "amovie='small.mp3:loop=999'[s];[0][s]amix=duration=shortest" new.mp3
This code works like a charm but what i want to achieve is this :
curl "any-url-to-api-to-audio-file" | ffmpeg -i 'longer.mp3' -filter_complex "amovie='pipe\:0:loop=999'[s];[0][s]amix=duration=shortest" new.mp3
This code is not working and its giving me error as well,
