• How to generate submanifests based on offset and duration

  I am using hls-segment-reader for generating sub-manifests from a master manifest file.

  I want to provide an offset and duration to generate sub-manifest file. however, i am not able to find how can I pass them

  Any help in this regard is greatly appreciated.

• Is there a way to pick up a file based on the date modified in batchfile or direct cmd : Windows

  My goal is to be able to pick up files based on the date modified. The files has same name with the ending string being different as it has date and time stamp on the file. I’m trying to either use that value or use the actual date modified/created value to pick up the correct file.

  my script so far picks up every video file from one folder and find its matching audio channels and merges them together in ffmpeg. However sometimes there are multiple version of that file. i want to be able to pick up the new file and use that in the transcoding.

  Example of file names.

  BA_MUS_006615Highc450277201903201834100272.m2v
  This can have a pair with the beginning being same just the ending different. BA_MUS_006615Highc450 this part remains same with the identifier being Highc450 and the file name changing. the file name is BA_MUS_006615 this string can change unless it a new version of same file where only the date portion and time change. 277201903201834100272. Date starts after 227 the one above is shown as 20190320 and time is 183410.

  This time reflects to actual time of the date modified tab in windows and is slight off by a minute or two as the time is stamped when the file enters the software not exiting.

  Is there any help i can get on this. If you require more information please let me know.

  The code i am using to match the file is using a software called RoboTask, where is like a programming but with GUI. Then the file calls cmd to run the ffmpeg and then exits cmd to go back to picking the next file.

  Goal : Be able to find a file that matches the exact same name for example

  BA_MUS_006615

  then when it picks up all the files that has the same name - it find the file which is the newest and assigns that to a variable.

• FFmpeg -filter_complex_script crop & blurbox with time based values

  I am trying to create a script that will move a blur boxed across a video based on x and y cords in a text script.

  


  I can easily create a blur box with the following ffmpeg command.

  


  ffmpeg -y -i pex.mp4 -filter_complex_script cropblur.txt -map "[v]" out_crop.mp4


  


  The cropblur.txt has the following.

  


  [0:v]crop=400:400:300:350,boxblur=10[fg]; [0:v][fg]overlay=300:350:enable='between(t\,0\,5)'[v]


  


  This creates this.

  


  

  


  What I want is the blur box to move across where the lady is running.

  


  

  


  She obviously runs out from where the box is positioned.

  


  I can create a script where I can track the correct x and y positions for the blox using jquery ui or something I just dont understand how to implement this in a filter_complex_script.

  


  I thought it would be a simple as just appending to the script something like this.

  


  [0:v]crop=400:400:300:350,boxblur=10[fg]; [0:v][fg]overlay=300:350:enable='between(t\,0\,2)'[v]
[0:v]crop=200:200:200:360,boxblur=10[fg]; [0:v][fg]overlay=300:350:enable='between(t\,2\,3)'[v]
[0:v]crop=200:200:200:370,boxblur=10[fg]; [0:v][fg]overlay=300:350:enable='between(t\,3\,4)'[v]
[0:v]crop=200:200:200:380,boxblur=10[fg]; [0:v][fg]overlay=300:350:enable='between(t\,4\,5)'[v]


  


  Changing the time and the x position based on the incremented time.

  


  If I run this script I get this error.

  


  No output pad can be associated to link label '0:v'


  


  Obviously I am doing something wrong but I cannot find any documentation that really helps me understand how to do this https://ffmpeg.org/ffmpeg.html the official docs dont really help.

  


  I could do it by running multiple passes like this.

  


  ffmpeg -y -i pex.mp4 -filter_complex "[0:v]crop=400:400:300:350,boxblur=10[fg]; [0:v][fg]overlay=300:350:enable='between(t\,0\,2)'[v]" -map "[v]" out_crop.mp4 && ffmpeg -y -i out_crop.mp4 -filter_complex "[0:v]crop=200:200:200:360,boxblur=10[fg]; [0:v][fg]overlay=300:350:enable='between(t\,2\,3)'[v]" -map "[v]" out_crop2.mp4


  


  I Would just really like to understand how to use the filter complex scripts in this way ?

  


  Any help would be great.
