• Artifact while streaming multicast with ffmpeg

  Locally, from my windows machine with ffmpeg 3.3.2 from Zeranoe

  Server side

  Launch udp multicast streaming.

   ffmpeg -re -i video.ts -an -f mpegts -c copy udp://224.1.1.1:5000

  Client side

  Playing with ffplay is correct, no artifacts displayed

  ffplay udp://224.1.1.1:5000

  Playing after decoding cause artifacts

  ffmpeg -i udp://224.1.1.1:5000 -pix_fmt gray -f avi - | ffplay -

  or

  ffmpeg -f mpegts -i udp://224.1.1.1:5000 -pix_fmt gray -c:v rawvideo -f avi out.avi

  Does someone has an explanation ?

  I am trying to stream a video securely, and this is what I have tried :

  I have generated my key and certificate using OpenSSL :

  Can someone drop me a hint or a pointer ?

• Not able to generate mp4 using png and mp3 audio

  I am totally nob to FFMPEG.
  I am trying to generate mp4 video file by merging mp3 and png image.

  When i try converting png image into mp4 it works

  ffmpeg -r 1/5.544000 -i 1.png -qscale 2 1.mp4

  But when i add mp3 audio file then it fails

  ffmpeg -r 1/5.544000 -i 1.png -i 1.mp3 -qscale 2 1.mp4

  Following is the error that i get :

  No pixel format specified, yuv444p for H.264 encoding chosen.
  
  Use -pix_fmt yuv420p for compatibility with outdated media players.

  I tried using -strict -2 but still it fails.

  What wrong in the command ? How to create mp4 using mp3 and png ?
