  • How to to burn subtitles based image on video using 'overlay_cuda', ffmpeg video filter

    4 septembre 2020, par jgkim0518

    I have to burn subtitles based image on video using ffmpeg(v4.3) and cuda, hardware accelerator. I want to use 'overlay_cuda' in filter complex.

    It is my command.

    ./ffmpeg -init_hw_device cuda=cuda:1 -hwaccel cuda -filter_hw_device cuda -hwaccel_output_format cuda -i 2_dump.ts -filter_complex "[v:0]scale_npp=1920:1080,format=yuv420p[base_video];[base_video][s:3]overlay_cuda[resurlt_video]" -map "[resurlt_video]" -map 0:a -c:v h264_nvenc -f mpegts subtitle_test.ts

    But it's fail.

    These are output massage included error.

  • Using ffmpeg results in undesirable motion blur

    13 septembre 2020, par Oleg Yablokov

    I am trying to convert a video with the best quality possible. The problem is, no matter which command arguments I use, a motion blur appears (the first image is converted, the second is the original) :

    Converted Original

    The ffprobe's output of the original video :

    I've tried different combinations of the following arguments :

    ffmpeg \
-i input.ts \
-c:v libx264 \
-preset veryslow \
-qp 0 \
-minrate 25165824 \
-b:v 25165824 \
-r 25 \
-s 1920x1080 \
-aspect 16:9 \
-g 25 \
-crf 7 \
output.ts

    None of these settings helped. Please, could you tell me how to remove this motion blur ?

    EDIT : to be more specific, I leave a link to a shorten video ( 10 seconds). If you manage to convert it to hls (h.264 & .m3u8) without motion blur and with preserving the overall quality, it will be equivalent to the answer.

  • ffmpeg : avcodec_open2 returns invalid argument

    26 octobre 2020, par roari

    I'm reusing the sample code from the developer 64-bit release of FFmpeg in my application to encode a video :

    AVCodec* pCodec_{nullptr};
AVCodecContext* pContext_{nullptr};

avcodec_register_all();
pCodec_ = avcodec_find_encoder(AV_CODEC_ID_MPEG2VIDEO);
if (!pCodec_) {}

pContext_ = avcodec_alloc_context3(pCodec_);
if (!pContext_) {}

pContext_->bit_rate = 400000;
pContext_->width = size.width();
pContext_->height = size.height();

pContext_->time_base.den = 1;
pContext_->time_base.num = fps;

pContext_->gop_size = 10;
pContext_->max_b_frames = 1;
pContext_->pix_fmt = AV_PIX_FMT_BGR0;

if (codec_id == AV_CODEC_ID_H264) {
    av_opt_set(pContext_->priv_data, "preset", "slow", 0);
}

int err = avcodec_open2(pContext_, pCodec_, nullptr);
if (err < 0) {}

    AVCodec* and AVCodecContext* look like they are allocated correctly. avcodec_open2 then returns invalid argument (-22).

    I use : Windows 10 64, VS2013 Compiler, Qt Creator IDE, ffmpeg(2016-05-12) 64bit.

    The sample I took the code from is decoding_encoding.c.

    Any ideas ?
