• rails streamio-ffmpeg does not find uploaded video files

  I try to make a screenshot as thumbnail of a movie while uploading.

  My code looks like this at the moment

     @channels = Channel.all
  
     @vid = Movie.new(movies_params)
  
  
  
     @channel = Channel.find(params[:vid][:channel_id])

       movieFile = FFMPEG::Movie.new(@vid.video.to_s)
  
       screenshot = movieFile.screenshot("uploads/screenshot", :seek_time => 10)
  
       render :add
  
     else
  
       render :add
  
     end
  
   end

  But when I do this I got this error :

    No such file or directory - the file 'http://.s3.amazonaws.com/uploads/movie/video/7/2016-04-24_16.26.10.mp4' does not exist

  That should be okay because I upload the movies to Amazon S3 with carrierwave ...

  What’s going wrong in this case ?

  I’m trying to use TarsosDSP for real time pitch shifting on Android.

  This is my code :

  I get an error here

  dispatcher = AudioDispatcherFactory.fromPipe(getRealPathFromUri(song), 44100, 5000, 2500);

  Decoding via a pipe will not work : Could not find an ffmpeg binary for
  your system

  Why does this happen and how should I fix it ?

  EDIT :

  As far as I was able to understand it’s because ffmpeg isn’t integrated within the app. I looked for a guide here on SO but I couldn’t find any updated one. Using NDK r15c and FFmpeg 3.3.3

  I want to reduce the resolution of a video before edit it, so I´m using ffmpeg on android. I´m using the executable/binary file of ffmpeg and I´m calling my ffmpeg commands like that :

  ./ffmpeg -i /sdcard/dcim/video.mp4 -s 320x240 -r 10 -y /sdcard/output.mp4

  But when I try this command I get this error :

  Unable to find a suitable output format for /sdcard/output.mp4

  This is the output when I use the adb shell :

  The only action I have been able to do is to extract the audio of a video and save it as a mp3 using this command :

  ./ffmpeg -i /sdcard/dcim/video.mp4 -y /sdcard/output.mp3

  That works well but this is the only action I can do...
  Any idea of why I can´t convert a video ? (I can´t copy it too) Thanks !!
