Scale overlay image FFMPEG

I have 3 inputs— a background image, a text file containing list of image file location (to overlay on background image), and an audio file (to be played in background).

I need to scale the overlay images from "images.txt".
I am using below command.
I dont know what am I doing wrong.

How to merge two video parts and get a playable video file using Python ?

Here, I actually wants to merge two strings out1 & out2 (which contains the first and second 30sec long video data) and write that to a file. So that I will get a 1min long playable video file. But what I am getting is the first 30sec video only. How should I edit this code to achieve that ? Please help me. Thanks a lot in advance.

How can i parse strings as the inputs to subprocess.Popen ?

Here I tried to cut first and second 30sec long video file from "path/connect.flv" to the files output1.flv and output2.flv. It works. I able to concatenate these two files to form a new file "final.flv" of 60sec long. So this works and i am getting the outputs output1.flv [30sec], output2.flv[30sec] and final.flv[1min].

Here is the python code :

But what i really want is to concatenate two strings out1 and out2 and concatinate these two to a file instead of concatenating "/home/xincoz/test/output1.flv" and "/home/xincoz/test/output2.flv". So how can i parse string out1 and out2 as the inputs to mencoder ? Please edit my code to achieve the result.
