• Ruby on Rails : FFMPEG fails after upgrade Mountain Lion to Mavericks

  yesterday I upgrade my OS fom Mountain Lion to Mavericks and all goes well until recently.

  We are developing a Ruby on Rails v3.2.13 application for manage videos (only MP4), which worked fine until yesterday with Mountain Lion. Today (with Mavericks) I try to upload a video but get the following error in the console :

  EDIT NOTE : I notice this when run brew upgrade :

• FFmpeg 3.3.4 avfoundation to record only a specific section of the screen on macOS Sierra using the command line

  I’m using FFmpeg version 3.3.4 (installed via brew) through the command line to record my desktop during some automated tests on my macOS Sierra (10.12.6).

  I would like to record only a specific section of the screen but, unfortunately, I’m not able to find the proper options in the documentation to reach my goal.

  According to the FFmpeg documentation for avfoundation, this is the command I use :

  I tried to use the -video_size option to set the video frame size, but it doesn’t work.

• How to compile BlackMagic SDK to FFMPEG

  In Mac OS 10.13 I have installed FFMPEG via
  brew install ffmpeg
  I have downloaded the latest BlackMagic SDK from BlackMagic websit.

  I am not sure how I can compile black magic SDK to my ffmpeg.
