  • Anyway to play/convert/fix 10mb-50mb avi files that ffprobe shows has duration 0.0000 ?

    Run into a problem at work, we are getting some of the AVI files being secure ftp to our servers straight from our hardware creating the AVI files are not playing.

    In doing some research using ffprobe we have found that even though there is data in the files (10mb-80mb+ file sizes) the header is showing a duration of 0.

    We have tried using both MEncoder and FFMPEG to try and re-encode/convert/fix the files, but both stop almost immediately saying the fps is nan. Nothing seems to be working.

    Can anyone give us some ideas on how to fix the files ?

    i have a streaming link and im restreaming it via ffmpeg

    -vcodec copy -c:a libmp3lame -ab 48k -ar 22050

    so if i play in flowplayer (web PLayer) i just listen audio perfect and video has problems
    "so i just see images instand of video" its slow and it block

    When i play that video on vlc is working perfect and in video codec i see

      H264 - MPEG-4 AVC (avc1)     MPEG Audyo layer 3 (mp3)

    so how to convert this stream so i can watch on web players like flowplayer or jw player

    From within my app I create a video from images that the user has taken using Ffmpeg. I the play this using MediaController and a VideoView. When I run the app using the Genymotion emulator for a Google Nexus 4 the video file plays without issue. When I use the Genymotion emulator for a Samsung Galaxy S4 I get an error from the VideoView on error listener say "Can’t play video".
