Problem using ffmpeg in streaming mode on aac files created by Android
28 septembre 2018, par Dror MaydanI’m recording audio clips in Android using
aac
, exporting the files to my Mac and then trying to decode them usingffmpeg
. It works fine in file mode but fails in streaming mode with the following error. It seems that consistently short files work fine but long files (2 minutes or longer) fail. Bug in Android, ffmpeg
or am I usingffmpeg
incorrectly ?Thanks,
Drorffmpeg -f m4a -i - bad.wav < 3e4cfa9ff60b48d885947291fbfb981b.m4a

Silence in RTP stream in ffmpeg
9 octobre 2020, par OdatiaI am trying to record a webRTC stream. The stream is coming in in the OPUS codec, and is then being piped into ffmpeg for recording, using the
-c:a copy
flag. However, if there are missing packets, for example, if I mute my microphone (or even stay quiet for a short period), when the audio is played back (webm file), it jumps across these "silences".

I have tried to use the DTX option to insert comfort noise, but my input is 4800MHz which is not supported.

My full mpeg command is :

ffmpeg -nostdin -protocol_whitelist file,rtp,udp -use_wallclock_as_timestamps 1 -fflags +genpts -i /tmp/sdpfilesfhmw4rymzy8wv25ybm610xte -map 0:a:0 -c:a copy -f webm -flags +global_header -y ./server/lib/recording/test-icc-networks-xzsyoe1f.webm

Any help would be appreciated !

Thanks,
Joe

ffmpeg conversion results in different number of frames. How to fix corrupted frames ?
19 mai 2022, par Mike AzatovI have used
ffmpeg -i original_video.mp4 -vcodec libx265 -crf 28 -vsync 0 -vf scale=800:-1 -preset faster small_video.mp4
for awhile without problem to make a smaller sized video that is completely in sync with the original one.

However, I came across one that after conversion has 44 frames less. My guess is this happens because there are 44 corrupted frames in the original one that gets discarded. If that is the case I would like to either "correct" the original one and then proceed with the conversion the same old way OR/AND convert so the corrupted frames are not skipped but are replaced with the good ones so the videos are still in full sync.

Below is the log from conversion :

ffmpeg -i original_video.ts -vcodec libx265 -crf 28 -vsync 0 -vf scale=800:-1 -preset faster small_video.mp4
