is Cloud API's needed for Video Conversion to save huge time ?
7 juillet 2017, par user2224250I have seen a couple of ffmpeg software’s which converts a video x format (1.8 GB) to y format (1.8 GB) in less than 90 seconds
For example IDealshare VideoGo
When I work with ffmpeg in the terminal, these sort of conversions takes atleast one hour. Moreover, when I compare to the above software, am facing a very very big number interms of time.
May be, do you think for these fast conversions, we must take help from third party cloud API’s (software’s) such as amazon elastic transcoder etc etc.
Any pointers would be really appreciable !!

FFmpeg - Concatenating videos with different resolutions
7 août 2017, par JillI currently have an android app where the videos get combined using ffmpeg’s concat. That works fine. However, when I add text (using drawtext) to one of the videos, after combining the videos again, the combined video gets distorted. The video with the drawtext shows up fine, but then the videos without text switches orientation.
I think the problem roots from the fact that a vertical video on my android phone has the resolution of 1920x1080, however if I use that for the scale when executing drawtext, it becomes horizontal.
I think an example might help explain this better. Let’s say I have 2 vertically recorded videos, and I combine them with concat. The combined video shows up fine. Then if I add text to the 1st video using drawtext, the combined video will then show the first video (with text) at normal orientation (vertical). However, when it transitions to the next video, it first stalls for a couple seconds and then the 2nd video is shown at a horizontal orientation.
Also, I tried this also with having the aspect ratio as 1:1 so it wouldn’t matter, but the second video’s orientation still changed counter clockwise.
Thanks for the help, and happy to add more clarification if needed.
This is for adding the text :
ffmpeg -i input.mp4 -vf drawbox=y=ih-200:color=black@0.5:width=iw:height=200:t=max
,drawtext=fontfile=RobotoRegular.ttf:text='Text':x=(w-text_w)/2:y=(h-text_h)-100:fontsize=70:fontcolor=white
-c:v libx264 -b:v 17000k -r 30 -preset ultrafast -y output.mp4Output :

Android - Integrating ffmpeg and android-ndk-r9c
16 juillet 2015, par lgdroid57I have seen a lot of posts about FFmpeg and using FFmpeg in Android, but I am finding that a majority of these posts are for older versions of either FFmpeg or Android NDK. I was able to get a result from https://github.com/mconf/android-ffmpeg, which includes the files : "libavcodec.so", "libavformat.so", "libavutil.so", "libswscale.so". However, simply adding these files to my project does not seem to be enough to use FFmpeg. (I followed http://stackoverflow.com/a/21773572/1877798 as a reference guide). It’s possible that either I’ve done something wrong in configuring these files in my project, or I’ve done something wrong in building FFmpeg for Android. (Should there be more files ?)
I was wondering if there are any recent guides for building or integrating FFmpeg in an Android project. I am using FFmpeg (as of 2/27/14) and Android NDK 9c.
If not, does anyone have other recommendations for other libraries ? I am trying to take a set of image files and create a video/animated gif programatically. Thanks ! :-)
EDIT
I have found http://www.roman10.net/how-to-build-ffmpeg-with-ndk-r9/comment-page-4/ and a couple others found on GitHub. However, they all seem to struggle in building FFmpeg. I am using Mac OS X
Here is my script :

solving the problem.
