    MediaSPIP utilise les balises HTML5 video et audio pour la lecture de documents multimedia en profitant des dernières innovations du W3C supportées par les navigateurs modernes.
    Pour les navigateurs plus anciens, le lecteur flash Flowplayer est utilisé.

    MediaSPIP uses HTML5 video and audio tags to play multimedia files, taking advantage of the latest W3C innovations supported by modern browsers.
    The MediaSPIP player used has been created specifically for MediaSPIP and can be easily adapted to fit in with a specific theme.

  • Imagick refresh

    After some hiatus I’ve been getting back on fixing bugs on Imagick and getting the code into more representable condition. This hiatus has been a result of busy work schedule and getting a new start-up running in Kuala Lumpur.

    While fixing a bug related to clone keyword I came across the following resource : http://www.rubblewebs.co.uk/imagick/. The page contains quite a nice collection of Imagick operations and is definitely worth checking out.

    On the other news, the development has been moved to Github. As I’ve been the most active developer of Imagick in the past years I decided to move the code to Github where rest of my projects are located : https://github.com/mkoppanen/imagick. For the past few days there has been quite a lot of development, mainly working on removing the excessive use of macros in the code to make things more readable and debuggable. This might be a good place to give thanks to Remi for fixing quite a lot of compile warnings and raising bugs regarding Fedora Packaging Policy. Most likely there will be a couple of beta releases in the near future.

    As mentioned in the previous post Windows builds are now available via http://windows.php.net and my builds provided here should be considered obsolete.

  • Concat 2 H264 mov into mp4 using ffmpeg or other ?

    We recently bought a JVC GY-HM650U camcorder. One of the things it can do is record into a "web" format at the same time it records HD. However, the problem we've ran into is that it splits up the recording about every 30 minutes. I've contacted the manufacturer and they might fix the firmware in the future, but I need to do something about it now. So the camera produces an MOV file, but it's supposed to be a H.264 mp4 under the surface. I tried to follow the steps here : http://ffmpeg.org/trac/ffmpeg/wiki/How%20to%20concatenate%20%28join,%20merge%29%20media%20files but was not successful. I can either merge the two files into one mov, and if I try to play the MOV in JWPlayer for some reason I lose the audio. If I try to go into a .mp4 I get an error. I found some 3rd party software for joining video files without having to re-encode them if they are already encoded the same way, but none proved successful at producing a playable file with audio. Any suggestions ?

    This is a bit more work, but avoids having to fill in
    the data offset field afterwards instead of directly when
    the rest of the trun atom is written.

    This simplifies future cases where this field needs to be set to
    something different.
