• Trying to save an animation gives error : OSError : Error saving animation to file (cause : [Errno 22] Invalid argument)

  I am trying to save an animation, but I get the error :

  OSError : Error saving animation to file (cause : [Errno 22] Invalid argument) Stdout : b’’ StdError : b’’. It may help to re-run with logging level set to DEBUG.

  I have installed ffmpeg and also added the path to it in my code. If I add print(animation.writers.list()), it gives ’ffmpeg’ in the list as well so I’m sure my computer can find the right file.

  At the top of my code, I have :

  import matplotlib.pyplot as plt
  
  plt.rcParams['animation.ffmpeg_path'] = 'C:/FFmpeg/bin/ffmpeg.exe'

  And when saving the animation, I have :

  SubplotAnimation_1 = SubplotAnimation(F_vector, eta_atm, Pkid, Tb_sky)
  
  Writer = animation.FFMpegWriter(fps=20, metadata=dict(artist='Me'), extra_args=['--verbose-debug'])
  
  file_string = r'C:/Users/Esmee/Documents/Animations/animation_tryout.mp4'
  
  print(file_string)
  
  SubplotAnimation_1.save(file_string, writer=Writer)

  I have added the r in front of the string, so there are no problems with the /a in the file_string. The folder C :/Users/Esmee/Documents/Animations/ exists for sure, so that also shouldn’t be a problem.
  I have also tried

  Writer = animation.writers['ffmpeg']
  
  mywriter = Writer(fps=15, metadata=dict(artist='Me'), bitrate=1800)

  But it doesn’t work either.

  I have looked at animation save gets errror, How can I overcome this key word error and No Moviewriters available, but none of them offers a solution to my problem.

  Does anyone know what the problem could be ? Thanks in advance !

• How to setup a video chunker or FFMPEG to bypass Cloudflare ?

  In full transparency, I am a noob so please forgive my lack of appropriate lingo as I am just barely starting to learn the languages of web development. Hope you don't have to try and decipher too much of what I'm trying to say.

  


  So in an attempt to put this as simply as possible.

  


  I have a PHP Script CMS that I have been doing some extensive custom work to. As mentioned, I am still learning for the most part and while my front end skills are getting very well polished, I'm still completely lose mostly when it comes to back end endeavors. And for reference, the CMS I am using is Wowonder from Codecanyon. It's essentially just a social media cms, like Facebook.

  


  I have this installed on my own dedicated server, have WHM/Cpanel, all that good stuff. I also have my website/domain setup through Cloudflare properly. This is where the issue arises. Cloudflare limits uploads to 100 megabytes. Some of the users on my website will be uploading videos and media much bigger than 100 megabytes. (Up to 10 gigabytes in some cases). I have researched the issue long and hard and it would seem to me the obvious was to resolve the problem would be to use a video chunker (and/or something like FFMPEG ? But not sure if FFMPEG Is capable of it. Am just assuming).

  


  I understand the basic, general idea of what chunkers do and have found some seemingly good options. Will post a couple below just as an example but not necessarily options I was considering.

  So again, I understand the basic idea, it would chunk up the video while uploading (somewhere beneath the 100 megabyte maximum) to bypass Cloudflare's limit, and then stitch the video back together so it's in it's in it's complete form again. However, with a website that has many users uploading, I have not the slightest idea what the best solution is, or if this is the best solution at all, and if it is, how to implement it properly.

  


  I have also installed FFMPEG on my server and did so successfully but not sure how to implement that properly either now how to tell it that it should automatically encode any videos uploaded to the website by any users and so on, nor sure if it's possible to do chunking with it although it seemingly is ?

  


  Any advice is on the topic is much appreciated and I would be much obliged. Thanks in advance.

  


• Output a video with "slide up" transition using more than 100 images in FFMPEG ?

  I have more than a hundred images of the same size and format that my company wants to display at the big 9:16 (rotated 16:9) screen outside the front gate. It's supposed to be easy but they required me to have it slide from top to bottom, meaning that it should look like a smooth auto scroll effects. I searched here and there but no luck.

  


  I have tried xfade like this :

  


  ffmpeg -loop 1 -i input.txt -filter_complex
"xfade=transition=slideup:duration=10:offset=0,format=yuv420p" output.mp4


  


  It didn't do anything just a bunch of error referring to the inputs. Which is supposed to be just 2 images in the first place.

  


  The next thing I tried was using Concat from someone named @Gyan at his reply HERE and here's my version of the code :

  


  ffmpeg -y -f concat -safe 0 -i input.txt
-vf tile=1x%img_count%,loop=%_my_loop_count_var%:1:0,
crop=iw:ih/%img_count%:0:clip((t-%_start_time%)/%sec_per_img%*ih/%img_count%\,0\,ih*%img_count_minus_one%/%img_count%)
-r 25 -c:v libx264 -preset ultrafast output.mp4


  


  When I played with it, it gives a different output even do the image are all the same dimensions.

  


  I found someone on youtube used this but it is using bash and I am on windows. Unless someone here can convert it to a batch script would be great. I look into it and it seems like he's just V-stacking them kinda like what I did but there's more. I know I could have gone through win bash but I doubt the script will run on a non-Unix environment just by having bash, and I'm not yet familiar with Cygwin either.

  


  I also did tried other options posted by others here, I just forgot to bookmark them, but non of them works on more than a hundred images.

  


  I love to hear a response if anyone can help.
