    La gestion de la ferme passe par l’exécution à intervalle régulier de plusieurs tâches répétitives dites Cron.
    Le super Cron (gestion_mutu_super_cron)
    Cette tâche, planifiée chaque minute, a pour simple effet d’appeler le Cron de l’ensemble des instances de la mutualisation régulièrement.   • Tools to determine video orientation

    I receive videos from different devices and want to encode them using the correct orientation.

    I've seen some of examples of how to determine the orientation of a video from a iPhone.

    With exiftool and mediainfo I can indeed tell if an iPhone video has to be rotated.

    However, for android videos, both portrait and landscape videos have the same rotation and matrix structure as each other.

    Maybe this is just with my phone, I'm trying to find videos taken from newer droid phones.

    My question however is whether there's other tools or a different way to determine the orientation that'll work with all devices.

    EDIT :
    I just checked a video from a Samsung Galaxy S II, and I can get the orientation from exiftool. So it's not a problem with all android phones.
    My android phone is a HTC Desire running on android 2.2.

    And actually (I didn't even notice before) a portrait video will not be correctly oriented even when playing on the phone. So I guess it's not about the tools, the orientation data just doesn't seem to be correct at all.

  • Is ffmpeg a good upscaler from SD to HD ? [closed]

    Is ffmpeg a good upscaler to convert SD videos to HD ?

    I use the AVANTI GUI. I installed it and put the ffmpeg and ffplay exe into the folder ffmpeg in the program folder. What I know is that you can only preserve the detail when you upscale from SD to HD. You don’t really gain any additional information. TV companies like Samsung, Sony, LG, Panasonic, Sharp, and others refuse to think so and push the boundaries of upscaling so that additional information can be added when the image is upscaled from SD to HD and HD to 4K and so on and so forth. I’ve run a test through the AVANTI ffmpeg GUI.

    Codec : XVID to H.264
    Bitrate : 1640 kbps to 6000 kbps
    Resolution : 640x480 to 1440x1080
    Format : AVI to M4V
    Audio Codec : AC3 to AAC
    Audio Bitrate : 192 kbps
    Audio Frequency : 48000 Hz
    Upscale method : Spline

    Will this upscale method work in any way with converting SD video to HD video. There’s a lot of SD content out that haven’t made the transition to, or probably never will be, HD.
