  • MoviePy Is Able To Print Video Duration But When Performing Edit It Cannot Find Duration ? | Python

    10 avril 2021, par PythonProgrammer

    I have been troubled by this issue when I am making a video downloader.
The Code Below :

        videoclip = VideoFileClip(fr'{directory}\audio\{yt.title}.mp4')

    duration = videoclip.duration

    print(duration)

    audioclip = videoclip.audio
    audioclip.write_audiofile(fr"{directory}\{yt.title}.mp3")
    audioclip.close()
    videoclip.close()

    Output :

    For some odd reason it is able to print the video duration but apparently cannot find it when I am trying to save the audio from the video as a separate file.

    Thanks for the help ! I am using latest version of moviepy and its dependencies, I just installed it today.

  • downsizing multiple mpg files using ffmpeg.exe

    14 septembre 2022, par user2799077

    I'm using ffmpeg.exe to process screen captures for a demo using MS Game Bar. Game Bar captures at a high frame rate at high resolution and the files are very large.

    Using ffmpeg.exe I can process the files using :

    ffmpeg.exe -i file.mpg file_l.mpg

    And all is good but I'd like to create a bat file so I can do half a dozen or any in a folder all at once.

    My Windows bat skills are poor and I've been trying to get it to work using something like this without success :

    for %%f in (*.mp4) do (
  ren %%~nf%%~xf !fileNum!%%~xf
  set/a fileNum += 1

    Can anyone help please

  • Powershell script for ffmpeg mkv—>mp4 remuxing ?

    15 août 2019, par crioxide

    I am interested in writing a Powershell script that calls ffmpeg to remux a series of videos from mkv to mp4 and converts subtitle track 1 of all these files to hard subs. I have never used these CLI programs like this before so this is difficult for me to figure out (I’ve had to resort to doing this task this way after getting frustrated with all the half-assed GUI solutions out there that can’t do the job). Can I get some help please ?

    AND can someone enlighten me how I can learn more about these pieces of software so I don’t have to go begging for solutions online anymore ?
