How can I remove "original display aspect ratio" from a mp4 file using ffmpeg ?
21 juin 2020, par aveceuxI wish to remove the "original display aspect ratio" entry from the video section.

I tried the following commands,

ffmpeg -i input.mp4 -map_metadata -1 -c copy output.mp4

ffmpeg -i input.mp4 -metadata original_display_aspect_ratio=0 -c copy output.mp4

but none of them worked.

If I want to remove the "original display aspect ratio" entry completely, what ffmpeg command can I use to achieve that ?

Thank you.

FFMPEG Incorrect Stream Index Matching with -var_stream_map
28 décembre 2018, par HugoI am using a bash script to run an FFMPEG command to turn an input file called
Awoo.mkv
into three HLS playlists each with a different resolution, video and audio bitrate.This is the script :
name=gw
rm /tmp/hls/*
./ffmpeg -y \
-stream_loop -1 -re \
-i Awoo.mkv \
-b:v:0 4000k -b:a:0 512k -s:0 1920x1080 -r:0 30 -g:0 90 -preset:0 superfast -tune:0 zerolatency -profile:v:0 high -level:v:0 4 \
-b:v:1 2500k -b:a:1 256k -s:1 1280x720 -r:1 30 -g:1 90 -preset:1 superfast -tune:1 zerolatency -profile:v:1 high -level:v:1 4 \
-b:v:2 800k -b:a:2 255k -s:2 960x540 -r:2 30 -g:2 90 -preset:2 superfast -tune:2 zerolatency -profile:v:2 high -level:v:2 4 \
-hls_time 6 \
-hls_list_size 2 \
-hls_flags delete_segments \
-map 0:v -map 0:a -map 0:v -map 0:a -map 0:v -map 0:a \
-var_stream_map "v:0,a:0 v:1,a:1 v:2,a:2" \
-f hls -master_pl_name "${name}.m3u8" \
-hls_segment_filename "/tmp/hls/${name}_-%d-%v.ts" \
"/tmp/hls/${name}_%v.m3u8"This almost works great, but the output is slightly off...
If you look at these two lines :
-b:v:1 2500k -b:a:1 256k -s:1 1280x720 -r:1 30 -g:1 90 -preset:1 superfast -tune:1 zerolatency -profile:v:1 high -level:v:1 4 \
-b:v:2 800k -b:a:2 255k -s:2 960x540 -r:2 30 -g:2 90 -preset:2 superfast -tune:2 zerolatency -profile:v:2 high -level:v:2 4 \A resolution of 1280x720 should have a bitrate of 2500k, a resolution of 960x540 should have a bitrate of 800k.
This is the relevant output from FFMPEG :

From what I know, the resolutions are showing in the wrong order, if 720 was first and 540 after then everything would match up fine. I’m not sure what’s causing this, I am new to the
-var_stream_map

Unsupported codec with id 94215 for input stream 10So I decide to use FFMPEG to stream to UDP, and filter out unwanted SUB’s
Here is FFMPEG cmd
ffmpeg -reconnect 1 -reconnect_at_eof 1 -reconnect_streamed 1 -reconnect_delay_max 2048 \
-i "http://192.168.1.44:8001/1:0:1:1F8:1B:2C0:E080000:0:0:0:" \
-map 0:0 -vcodec copy \
-map 0:1 -acodec copy \
-map 0:2 -map 0:6 -scodec copy \
-f mpegts udp://239.0.10.3:40000?pkt_size=1316And the output is :
Output #0, mpegts, to 'udp://239.0.10.3:40000?pkt_size=1316':
Metadata:
encoder : Lavf57.63.100
Stream #0:0: Video: mpeg2video (Main) ([2][0][0][0] / 0x0002), yuv420p(tv, top first), 720x576 [SAR 64:45 DAR 16:9], q=2-31, 25 fps, 25 tbr, 90k tbn, 90k tbc
Stream #0:1: Audio: mp2 ([3][0][0][0] / 0x0003), 48000 Hz, stereo, s16p, 256 kb/s
Stream #0:2(srp): Subtitle: dvb_subtitle ([6][0][0][0] / 0x0006)
Stream #0:3(hun): Subtitle: dvb_subtitle ([6][0][0][0] / 0x0006)
Stream mapping:
Stream #0:0 -> #0:0 (copy)
Stream #0:1 -> #0:1 (copy)
Stream #0:2 -> #0:2 (copy)
Stream #0:6 -> #0:3 (copy)And the resulting stream is DISASTER ... audio is choppy, video fall apart etc etc
If I try same thing WITHOUT sub’s (map 2 and 6) the video and audio is crystal clear and stream work well
But I need this two sub’s.
To narrow down the problem, if I try to capture incoming stream into file :
ffmpeg -reconnect 1 -reconnect_at_eof 1 -reconnect_streamed 1 -reconnect_delay_max 2048 \
-i "http://192.168.1.44:8001/1:0:1:1F8:1B:2C0:E080000:0:0:0:" \
-map 0:0 -map 0:1 -map 0:2 -map 0:6 \
-codec copy \
-y -f mpegts /tmp/tst.tsThe resulting file is playable, sound OK, video OK, subtitles OK.
Looks like problem is with OUTPUT to UDP ???
Any solution for this ?
