• Ruby on Rails - Paperclip - ffmpeg - throws error when adding style to "has_attached_file"

  I’m working on image and video upload in a rails app using paperclip and ffmpeg.

  The following code in models/image.rb is working fine :

  has_attached_file :image,
  
  processors: [:ffmpeg]
  
  validates_attachment_content_type :image, content_type: /.*/

  But, when I add styling to the code as follows, it throws an error on (page loading) :

  How can I solve this ?

  Update

  This error is displayed only when trying to upload a video or or trying to load a page containing a video.

  The code in pp/admin/resorts.rb mentioned in the error message is the following (I’m using activeadmin gem) :

• running ffmpeg on windows through python causes error "av_interleaved_write_frame() : Invalid argument"

  What happens is that when I try to run it, I run into a very specific error titled "av_interleaved_write_frame(): Invalid argument" and "Error writing trailer of pipe:: Invalid argument." Some useful information is that I am on windows, I’m running python 2.7.1 (which I can’t change as it is a requirement), and the version of ffmpeg I’m using is "ffmpeg-20160610-git-0a9e781-win64-static." I know somewhat that the reason for this is because the pipe is incorrect, but I’m not entirely sure how to fix it.

• OpenCV VideoWriter using ffmpeg with "Could not open codec 'libx264'" Error

  I am new to OpenCV, and I want write Mat images into video using VideoWriter on Ubuntu 12.04. But when constructing VideoWriter, errors came out.

  



  It seems that OpenCV invoke ffmpeg API using default parameters and ffmpeg invoke x264 using its default parameters. Then these setting is broken for libx264. Thus the "Could not open codec 'libx264'" error.

  



  Anyone has ideas to solve this problem ?

  1. anyone knows where and how OpenCV invoke ffmpeg API ?

  


  2. how to change ffmpeg default settings using code, hopefull, can be easily embeded into OpenCV ?

  


  3. will changes of default in ffmpeg be carried to libx264 ?

  FFMPEG

  



  ffmpeg is enable to support OpenCV and libx264 is enabled when compiling ffmpeg.
By using ffmpeg command line, libx264 is running normally.
