Automated installation script of MediaSPIP
25 avril 2011, parTo overcome the difficulties mainly due to the installation of server side software dependencies, an "all-in-one" installation script written in bash was created to facilitate this step on a server with a compatible Linux distribution.
You must have access to your server via SSH and a root account to use it, which will install the dependencies. Contact your provider if you do not have that.
The documentation of the use of this installation script is available here.

Why calling libav* library doesn't have same quality as ffmpeg command line ?
10 mai 2016, par seaguestI am using the ffmpeg 3 to do the video format conversion, it works fine when I use the command line mode, but when I call the libav* library, I get a audio quality loss problem (there is a lot of noises in the audio).
Here are the two files :
mv.webm - original file
mv2.mp4 converted with libarary , a lot of noisesHere is the probe information for the mv.webm :

Why the command line mode and use libav* library mode with same setting, but have different output ?
What should I do to call libav* library to get lossless video conversion ? -
distorted video during ffmpeg h264 video with audio recording
16 mars 2018, par DeveloperI am continuously recording a video with audio from an ip camera using ffmpeg. I am getting a distorted video when I get in to the picture. If the background is still, the video looks normal, but as soon as I step in to the picture, I see myself only being distorted while the background stays intact. If anyone went through this issue, I would really appreciate your help. Here is a command that I am using :
ffmpeg -i rtsp://admin:admin@192.168.1.9/mpeg4 -map 0 -c:v libx264 -c:a aac -pix_fmt yuv420p -f segment -segment_time 60 -segment_wrap 10 -reset_timestamps 1 %d.mp4

FFMPEG problems with real-time buffer
27 juin 2024, par Charles KielI'm trying to use FFMPEG (Windows) to encode a stream from a video capture card via dshow and send to a RTMP server. THis is my command line ;

The buffer too full message are non-stop. I can use Open Broadcast Software (OBS) and stream with no problem (I'm pretty sure it also uses ffmpeg), so I'm doing something wrong.
