ffmpeg live microphone streaming via MP3 audio
14 décembre 2015, par nickLooking for a way to capture a windows PC’s default recording device and transcode it to MP3 audio and stream via UDP to a Barix box that only accepts MPEG1/MP3 audio.
Below are 2 examples I have tried with no success. The audio is heard on the far end however it sounds choppy (approx. 95% nothing, 5% successful)
ffmpeg -f dshow -i audio="Transmit (Plantronics C435-M)" -acodec libmp3lame -f mp2 udp ://10.100.132.47:2050
ffmpeg -f dshow -i audio="Transmit (Plantronics C435-M)" -f mp3 udp ://10.100.132.47:2050Any ideas would be much appreciated.

qt faststart and ffmpeg to generate a live mp4 file [duplicate]
27 février 2014, par DnasoThis question already has an answer here :
I am using ffmpeg to create an mp4 file on my server. I am also trying to use qt fast start to be able to move the moov atom to the front so it will stream. I have searched all over the internet with no luck. Is it possible to put my video/audio in a mp4 buffer type file and then be able to play it while ffmpeg is still dumping video and audio data into the stream ? the point is I am trying to stream from a camera and Android is horrid... I know both ios and android support mp4 so I was trying to figure a way I can make my rtsp Mp4.
main point of the story : I want to continuously feed my mp4 container my camera feed and still be able to playback the file os my clients can watch.
any help appreciated thank you.

How to generate the first few HLS playlist files for a live broadasting event ?
1er mars 2014, par user3367166Knowing that HLS is based on a playlist of N segment files, how to properly generate the first (N-1) playlist files for a live broadcasting event (sliding window method) ?
should we wait for the first N segments to be recorded, and send a complete first playlist file ? This of course works but means that there is a delay of N x segment_duration before streaming starts.
or is there an official way of sending "partial" playlist files such that streaming starts after 1 x segment_duration ?
I have experimented with partial playlist files : ffmpeg 2.1.3 appends new segments into the playlist as they are recorded (below). I find this a reasonable way but my ipod5 usually stops playback after the first playlist or sometimes manages to playback the first few playlists but with much choppiness, so I believe it is not a supported way. Is there any official solution ?
