  • Unable to convert .mp3 to .m4a using ffmpeg [closed]

    4 mai 2013, par rahulg

I am fully aware the legal constraints in using libfaac but this is just for my testing purpose.

I have compiled ffmpeg with faac enabled. So when I tried to convert an .mp3 to a .m4a here is the error that I am getting. Please provide a resolution to this problem. I tried it on two different sources of .mp3, still I am getting the same error.

  • iPhone - IMA WAV ADPCM audio stream for iOS

    21 mai 2013, par Siriss

I am trying to write an app for a school project that will play a video stream of the lab. They use Foscam cameras, and from what I understand they only stream audio in FFMPEG and VLC (a wrapper of FFMPEG and others, correct ?). I can play the video stream in a UIWebView just fine, but I can't figure out how to get audio to work. I have read a bunch of post on here about the different audio stream options, but none support this format. I have also looked into VLCKit, but that seems to only work in OS X, not iOS.

Is there a Framework, or Kit that can stream IMA WAV ADPCM audio from a VLC/FFMPEG file, or does someone know of a better way to get audio from a Foscam ?

EDIT - I know more about the stream and I have tried a few things. I tried AVPlayer, but discovered Audio FIle Stream and Audio Queue Services but can't find a good tutorial.

I also found THIS site, and tried the project with my stream and it did not work.

  • python ff-mpeg not working on VM

    2 août 2013, par Bob

I have two Windows 2008 R2 64 bit servers with two different host providers (GoDaddy and company B). My python script runs successfully on GoDaddy's server. It doesn't run successfully on the server with company B.

I installed the same software on both servers :

    • Python 2.7 for Windows 32 bit
    • NumPY module
    • SetupTools
    • EchoNest API for Windows

The company B server is giving me an error related to an executable called en-ffmpeg.exe that uses the python ff-mpeg module. The exact error message is

[dv @ 0x1449690]Can't determine profile of DV input stream.
    C :\Music\song1.mp3 : Error while opening file

The song.mp3 file exists. I installed the latest Windows updates on the server with Company B but still I get the error. I believe the error is because something is not configured properly on this server (missing libraries or drivers ?). However, I don't know what that is !

    Please help :)
