Creating farms of unique websites
13 avril 2011, parMediaSPIP platforms can be installed as a farm, with a single "core" hosted on a dedicated server and used by multiple websites.
This allows (among other things) : implementation costs to be shared between several different projects / individuals rapid deployment of multiple unique sites creation of groups of like-minded sites, making it possible to browse media in a more controlled and selective environment than the major "open" (...)

Videoediting SDK C#
10 avril 2013, par user2265112I'm currently working on a project were i have to collect a videostream from a videoserver. This is done by the videoservers SDK where i get a videoclip output.
From this point i want to be able to cut at specific places in the videoclip or more specifically : trim out a specific part in the video.
This will be done for three videoclips and then i want to combine these videos into one wide-screen split-screen videoclip. You should be able to see clip1,clip2,clip3 simultaneously in one frame. As of now i have a solution for this where i pass arguments to ffmpeg. This works but are relatively slow and i don't get errormessages if something goes wrong. Well, i use a streamreader to get some info.
My question is : Is there a good well-documented library for C# i could use instead ? That ofcourse can provide the same functionality.
I have looked at directshow but that didn't help me to much. And avisynth has the problem that it doesn't generate its own videoclip, if im not mistaken ?Kind Regards.

IE9+ not playing portait video in HTML5 video tag
12 avril 2013, par ptrnFor some reason I can't get IE9/10 to play video that is taller than wide, when using HTML5 video tags.
Demo :
http://s.l6.no/demo/video+html5/The demo shows one video scaled down from 1280x720, which plays perfectly fine in all tested browsers, and one video scaled down from 720x1280 which plays for all browsers but IE9/10.
Tested and works for :
- Chrome 26, Windows 7 64-bit
- Chromium 24, Ubuntu 64-bit
- Firefox 14, Windows 7 64-bit
Tested and does not work for :
- Internet Explorer 9, Windows 7 64-bit
- Internet Explorer 10, Windows 7 64-bit
I'm using FFmpeg to code the videos to MP4(x264) and WebM(VP8), with the current command dummed down to this :
ffmpeg -i in.mp4 -vcodec libx264 -pix_fmt yuv420p -y -b:v 4000k out.mp4
The lack of profile settings would be my first point, but since the other video is playing just fine, I can't see why it should matter.
Any ideas ?
Edit : soft rotating the video isn't really an option, as the user is to be able to download the video to play offline. I could transcode an extra version just for IE, but come on, there's gotta be another way, no ?

How to achieve proxy support in ffmpeg ?
12 novembre 2013, par StackedI searched all over the internet and there seems no way which allows me to grab http streams via a proxy from ffmpeg, so is there a method which I can use to force connecting ffmpeg process via a specific proxy server. This is what I intend to achieve :
ffmpeg -> Proxy Server -> Content Origin
Also, the proxy setting should NOT be system wide.
