  • What is the best way to capture a screenshot from a udp stream ?

    8 novembre 2017, par yash17

I’m trying to capture a screenshot from a udp stream using ffmpeg in a Ubuntu 14.04 System.
    Following is the command

    ffmpeg -y -i udp_ip -vframes 1 -q:v 1 test.png

But the image captured is of very poor resolution and I observed a lag while taking the screenshot.

Please suggest a best tool or a way to take a screenshot in the fastest way and also of the best image resolution possible.

  • What is the best way to capture a screenshot from a udp multicast stream ? [on hold]

    30 novembre 2017, par yash17

Currently I’m capturing screenshot from an UDP multicast stream, playing in VLC,using ffmpeg from command line.

Is there any other tool that can capture the screenshot, with best resolution ?

    edit :
ffmpeg takes more 3 seconds to capture the screen.Mentioned Below is the log for the same. And I came to know that for streaming, ffmpeg can’t be faster.
So is there any alternate way, that will help me capture screen instantaneously.

  • Moving an overlay smoothly

    6 décembre 2017, par techr

I have a sliding video overlay on top of a background screen and move it from point a to point b.

The resulting video produces choppy movement. The overlay moves a step at a time instead of in one continous motion.

Here’s an example of the code :

    ffmpeg -y -stream_loop -1 -i b.mpg -i bg.jpg -filter_complex "
    [0:v]scale=320:240[vid];[1][vid]overlay=x='(180+(30-180)*(t-
    0)/60)*between(t,0,60)+(30+(290-30)*(t-60)/60)*between(t,60,120)':y='(120+
    (120-120)*(t-0)/60)*between(t,0,60)+(120+(30-120)*(t-
    60)/60)*between(t,60,120)'[out]" -map "[out]" -r 29.97 -aspect 4:3 -b:v
