• ffmpeg save video H.265 from rtsp but i can't open it

  By mistake on the IP camera in the settings there was a value of the H.265 codec (should be h.264)

  there is a file, the size is not empty, the video player shows a black screen, I also can not make out the video into frames

  Is it possible to somehow extract frames from this video or the video stream was not saved ?

  


• Save continuous RTSP stream to 5-10 minute long mp4 files

  How can I keep the flow (protocol rtsp, codec h264) in file (container mp4) ? That is, on inputting an endless stream (with CCTV camera), and the output files in mp4 format size of 5-10 minutes of recording time.

  



  OS : debian, ubuntu
Software : vlc, ffmpeg (avconv)

  



  Currently this scheme is used :

  



  cvlc rtsp://admin:admin@10.1.1.1:554/ch1-s1 --sout=file/ts:stream.ts
ffmpeg -i stream.ts -vcodec copy -f mp4 stream.mp4


  



  But it can not record video continuously (between restarts vlc loses about 10 seconds of live video).

  


• where to save mpd file in raspberry pi so dash.js can access it remotely ?

  This is very high level question. I want to stream a live video from raspberry pi. I want to be able to watch live video in the browser remotely being streamed by the Raspberry pi.I want to use DASH stream protocol, and Dash.js as client to HTML5. I have looked through different tutorials but i am still puzzled about how this works.I understand that (assuming you have already prepared your videos with FFMPEG tool) from the client Dash.js
  you have to make a call/request and pass a url to your mpd file. My question is where would you save the file in raspberry pi especially if the Dash client is in a different web app(i want to make the call remotely) ?
