  • Automated installation script of MediaSPIP

    25 avril 2011, par

To overcome the difficulties mainly due to the installation of server side software dependencies, an "all-in-one" installation script written in bash was created to facilitate this step on a server with a compatible Linux distribution.
You must have access to your server via SSH and a root account to use it, which will install the dependencies. Contact your provider if you do not have that.
The documentation of the use of this installation script is available here.

  • Support audio et vidéo HTML5

    10 avril 2011

  • Docker alpine : ffprobe not found in $PATH

5 mars 2023, par Harun Sasmaz

I have a Go program that executes ffmpeg and ffprobe commands, so I need to install them in my Docker container.

    Here is my Dockerfile :

    FROM golang:1.17.7-alpine

WORKDIR /src
COPY go.mod go.sum ./
RUN go mod download
COPY . .
RUN go build -o ./server cmd/service/main.go

RUN apk update
RUN apk upgrade
RUN apk add --no-cache ffmpeg

FROM alpine
COPY --from=0 /src/server /usr/bin/server
CMD ["server"]

However, when I run container, it says :

exec: "ffprobe": executable file not found in $PATH

How can I fix it ?

  • FFMPEG audio not delaying properly

    1er avril 2022, par Spartan 117

I am trying to mix two audio files together, with one audio being delayed. Here are the file details

    Audio 1 - https://pastebin.com/vkYsH88e, "startTime" : "03/23/2022 21:20:27", "endTime" : "03/24/2022 01:06:11"

    Audio 2 - https://pastebin.com/Gs4V96GQ, "startTime" : "03/24/2022 01:05:30", "endTime" : "03/24/2022 04:21:41"

As you can see from the paste bin and the json property, Audio two starts about 3 hours and 45 minutes after Audio one, here is how i am trying to mix them

    ffmpeg -i RTb295d0534191e1acb22a45bb971a12e6.mka -i RT103bfe5f4b129860f69cd8e820f3a10b.mka -filter_complex "[1:a]adelay=13500s:all=1[apad]; [0:a][apad]amix=inputs=2:weights=1|1[aout]" -map [aout] combined_audio.mka

Here is the output of that mixture - https://pastebin.com/KAsw0905

Files have been uploaded here, if anyone wants to test - https://easyupload.io/m/xveng4

The issue i'm having ? Based on the parameters provided, the 2nd audio file should start playing after 3 hours and 45 minutes. Instead, it plays after 5 hours and 45 minutes. I'm new to FFMPEG and have been having trouble figuring this out. Any ideas ?

  • python modules ffmpeg and ffprobe are installed but youtube-dl not able to find

12 avril 2022, par Akshay Hiremath

I'm using python 3.8 on MacOS Big Sur

I installed python module package for youtube-dl with

    pip3 install -upgrade youtube-dl

I wanted to do post processing on the content downloaded so I installed python packages ffprobe and ffmpeg.

    pip3 install ffprobe

ffprobe    0.5
youtube-dl 2021.12.17

Still it is complaining can't find ffprobe and ffmpeg :

youtube_dl.utils.DownloadError: ERROR: ffprobe/avprobe and ffmpeg/avconv not found. Please install one.

I see both packages in /Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/3.8/lib/python3.8/site-packages/

Trying to figure out what am I doing wrong. Many other answers to similar questions on SFO are suggesting installing these packages in the OS using brew etc. but in my case "I want to do everything through python". So shouldn't just installing python modules be enough ?
