  • FFMPEG (BASH) Trying to record stream from IP camera, getting really bad framerates and random stuttering in video

    12 février 2017, par user2419553

I’m trying to record an .asf from my IP camera using FFMPEG to save it as an .mp4 file every 15 minutes. The stream coming from the camera is variable, but averages at around 10 FPS. However, when I watch the output mp4, the framerate is much lower, and there is often stuttering, random frame skips, and sometimes the video freezes and doesn’t play (on VLC player).

Is there any way I can make the recording smoother and/or have less stuttering ?

Here is the code that I use :

    ffmpeg -i http://USER:PASSWORD@IP:PORT/videostream.asf -r 10 -vcodec copy -an -t 900 /root/Record/"$(date +"%Y_%m_%d %I.%M %p")".mp4

    Any help would be appreciated.

  • C# - Streaming video from IP Camera with overlay to Facebook Live

6 avril 2018, par Justin Li

I am currently working on a project where I am trying to have a C# application connect to multiple IP Cameras where I will add an overlay and continue to forward that stream to an RTMP server like Facebook Live. I am currently using the Ozeki Camera SDK to work with my IP Cameras but I have looked into using AForge as well.

I have everything set up to stream and overlay but I am having some trouble understanding how I can convert video and audio to be stream-able to the Facebook RTMP server. It seems I have to have an encoder for the video but after Googling, I am coming up short with methods of how to achieve this. I am hoping that someone has some experience in this field can give me a hand.

    Thanks in advance.

  • Specify timestamp in ffmpeg video segment command

    25 mars 2019, par Soumya

I have a continuous RTSP stream coming from a camera over the network.
I want to dump the stream but in video files of length 1 min each.

I an using the following command

    ffmpeg -i "rtsp://user:pass@example.com"  -f mp4 -r 12 -s 640x480 -ar 44100 \
    -ac 1 -segment_time 60 -segment_format mp4 "out%03d.mp4"

The name of the files being created are of the form out001.mp4, out002.mp4, etc.

I want to include the timestamp (hour and minute) in the name of the file segments eg. 09-30.mp4, 09-31.mp4, etc.

If it is mandatory to provide a serial number for the segment, is it possible to get something like 09-30-001.mp4, 09-31-002.mp4 ?
