  • Combining a movie file with a text file

    12 décembre 2012, par Hugo

Current Status : I have a movie I recorded on a microscopy and a .txt file with two columns : time and temperature. This file is synchronous with the video.
I would like to 'edit' the video so there is a text box with the temperature that would update as the movie plays.

My approach, for the moment, is to use ffmpeg. I managed to draw some text and it seems all is working as intended.

The problem is : I can't find any reference on how to update that text dynamically. I am using some Python to read the file and launch ffmpeg with subprocess.

I would like to ask if anyone knows some workaround for this. Maybe some other approach.

  • What are the specifications of Flex usable FLV videos ?

    26 septembre 2011, par Riduidel

I have a server which streams FLV files to a Flex client.
In this flex client, the video timeline advances incoherently, and no video can be seen on screen (only the sound can be heard).

My FLV file has been generated using ffmpeg, which says (about this generated file)

FFmpeg version 0.6, Copyright (c) 2000-2010 the FFmpeg developers

Which, as far as it seems to me, is OK.

Furthermore, the video plays nice in VLC.

  • switch between video streaming

    5 décembre 2012, par user1225084

I am struggling with switching between multiple live streams. For example, I have five live streaming servers streaming(HTTP or RTSP) and I want to put some broker between those (five) streaming sources and destination so that output to the destination would be one video streaming (later I may change the streaming source again using switch). Broker plays role of switcher, My question is, is there such open source "switcher" ? Or how this technology works ?

here is link to similar question but I want some open source or some brief guidance about how it could be implemented : http://forums.creativecow.net/thread/117/858680

    Thank You in advance
