    MediaSPIP 0.1 beta est la première version de MediaSPIP décrétée comme "utilisable".
    Le fichier zip ici présent contient uniquement les sources de MediaSPIP en version standalone.

    Jolie sélection multiple
    Le plugin Chosen permet d’améliorer l’ergonomie des champs de sélection multiple. Voir les deux images suivantes pour comparer.
    Il suffit pour cela d’activer le plugin Chosen (Configuration générale du site > Gestion des plugins), puis de configurer le plugin (Les squelettes > Chosen) en activant l’utilisation de Chosen dans le site public et en spécifiant les éléments de formulaires à améliorer, par exemple select[multiple] pour les listes à sélection multiple (...)

  • Is there a way to extract a video frame, encode a sentence behind it, put it back, and then decode it ?

    I am trying to do stenography on an MP4 video where I am pulling a frame out at a certain time, 5.52 sec, saving that frame as a jpg or jpeg using any image stenography tool, in this case stegosuite, to encode a sentence behind the image and then reinsert that image back into the video at the same time and then extract it again with the same command and using the same steno tool read the message.

    


    Up until decoding the message everything runs without issue.
I know that it is not working because the videos are not the same in size meaning that the frankenstein video is not the same as the original and thus messing up the frame extraction.

    


    Question :
    Is there a way to extract a frame encode a sentence behind it put it back and then decode it ?

    


    What I tried :
    
Used to extract the frame both times :

    


    ffmpeg -ss 5.52 -i original.mp4 -vframes 1 frames_%d.jpg


    


    Used to combine the image back into the video :

    


    ffmpeg -i original.mp4 -i frames_1_embed.jpg -filter_complex "[1]setpts=5.52/TB[im];[0][im]overlay=eof_action=pass" -c:a copy out_1.mp4


    


  • Avconv / FFmpeg - VOB to mp4

    I am using avconv/ffmpeg to convert VOB files copied from a DVD to mp4. The command I’m using is

    avconv -i "concat:1.VOB|2.VOB|3.VOB|4.VOB|5.VOB" -c:v libx264 -crf 28 -c:a libvo_aacenc -b:a 128k output.mp4

    This is working, but I’ve seen many different commands using different kinds of arguments, and I’m wondering if this is the "right" way to do it, and if someone has suggestions about which arguments I should (not) use and why (not). The file should be compatible with mobile devices and smart TV’s. I’ve also seen "libmp3lame" being used as audio codec, is it better to use AAC or MP3 ?

    The file size is 732.6MB for a video lasting 00:58:37, is this reasonable ?
    Maybe I can use something to reduce the filesize further without too much quality loss ?

    I’m also confused about the difference between Avconv and FFmpeg. I thought that FFmpeg is deprecated and Avconv is "newer and better", I have two installations of Linux Mint, when I run "avconv —help" on a 17.1 installations I see

    avconv version 9.20-6:9.20-0ubuntu0.14.04.1, Copyright (c) 2000-2014 the Libav developers

    And when I run the same command on a 18.1 installation I see

    ffmpeg version 2.8.11-0ubuntu0.16.04.1 Copyright (c) 2000-2017 the FFmpeg developers

    Is avconv newer than ffmpeg or is it just a different name for the same thing ?

  • MPEG4 X264 vs NVENC H264 encoding play compatibility on old devices

    I always encoding videos on x264, this encoding work well on old devices or mobile phones.
    
To increase the encoding speed I try to replace encoding method with NVENC H264 with nVidia GPU.

    


    Question 1 : Device combability for play the NVENC H264 is different with x264 ?
    
Question 2 : Old devices can play NVENC H264 file same as x264 ?

    


    Old devices : (All devices that can play x264) Android 6+, TV Setup box, TV, Google chrome 48+
