    MediaSPIP automatically converts uploaded files to internet-compatible formats.
    Video files are encoded in MP4, Ogv and WebM (supported by HTML5) and MP4 (supported by Flash).
    Audio files are encoded in MP3 and Ogg (supported by HTML5) and MP3 (supported by Flash).

    I’m trying to make a video player on android using android-ffmpeg, it works fine with avc streams, but failed to decode hevc ones. Are there any special requirements for decoding hevc on android with android-ffmpeg ?

  • android crop square video android compress to upload like instagram

    I had an android application which like instagram& now I want to crop selected video in square and compress it.
    I tested ffmpeg with FFmpegAndroid by this command :

    {"-y", "-ss", "" + (startTime / 1000), "-t", "" + ((endTime - startTime) / 1000), "-i", srcFilePath, "-vcodec", "libx264", "-crf", "35", dstFilePath}

    The problem is ffmpeg run too mush slowly about 15 minute for just 30 sec video.

    I also test silicompressorr but it just resize in standard video size and not compress final video.

    How instagram cut, crop and scale down video files too fast ?

    please help me !!!

  • Limit number of output files in ffmpeg (rorating filenames)

    I want to convert an MJPEG Stream to JPEG Files by using ffmpeg :

    ffmpeg -i foo.mjpg -vcodec mjpeg -f image2 image%d.jpg

    This works fine, but I want to have "rotating" filenames, that means setting a max. number of output files. When this limit is reached, it shall start with "image1.jpg" again : image1.jpg .. imageN.jpg .. image1.jpg etc.
    I was hoping a specifiger like "%02d" would limit the numbers from 1..99, but this doesn’t seem t o work.

    I have found the "-vframes"-Parameter, but this is the abolsute number of frames to be output.
    Is there any option to make the filenames rotate ?
