MediaSPIP 0.1 Beta version
25 avril 2011, parMediaSPIP 0.1 beta is the first version of MediaSPIP proclaimed as "usable".
The zip file provided here only contains the sources of MediaSPIP in its standalone version.
To get a working installation, you must manually install all-software dependencies on the server.
If you want to use this archive for an installation in "farm mode", you will also need to proceed to other manual (...) -

ALSA buffer xrun induced by low quality source in ffmpeg capture
24 juin 2015, par Peter BecichI am attempting to transfer some old Video 8 tapes to my computer, though an EasyCap USB stick and the motherboard’s sound line-in, on Ubuntu. I believe the arguments are correctly laid out below to capture from two independent streams, and encode them both into the output MP4 file.
Edit :
I can simplify the question a bit, now.
ALSA buffer overrun (or underrun ?) is induced by the unreliable/noisy audio source. For instance, if ffmpeg captures the beginning of tape playback, this causes "buffer xrun" far beyond when the tape gets up to speed and playback should be normal.
It is interesting that the bitrate shown in the ffmpeg log shoots up higher than normal when it’s producing a garbage output ! (Is this bitrate a sum of of audio and video bitrates ?)
I’ve tried a couple of audio encoding codecs, and had the same problem.

Received signal 2: terminating.
ffmpeg’s detection of the ALSA stream is seemingly goofed up by the inconsistencies of the tape. In the failure case, only short blips of the tapes audio exist in the output MP4. The audio bitrate of the output file is less than 10 kbps, averaged out across the whole file. The output video seems to be fine, even though the low frames-per-second in the failure case log below.
The audio and video streams can be captured fine for short amounts of time before a source error occurs ; this provides the success case log. The failure case log was created by intentionally making an error in the source streams — turning on the camera makes a brief noisy signal.
Is there a setting that needs to be forced to keep ffmpeg recording the audio stream, even when the tape is blank or noisy ?
Could it be that the libfdk_aac audio encoder is tripped up by the low quality source ?

Build FFMPEG on MAC with my own license
16 février 2015, par AshishI am new in ffmpeg world. I want to build the ffmpeg exe on MAC os using its binary source. I have tried to build the exe and infact i succeeded in compiling exe but when i run that exe i got this line :
ffmpeg version 2.2.4 Copyright (c) 2000-2014 the FFmpeg developers
While surfing on internet i got an exe with different copyright holder. I also want to change that "the FFmpeg developer" with with my name. Please help me out how to do this ?
Thanks. -
Using ffmpeg on Windows, what is the command to capture hardware encoded H264 stream from Logitech c930e
2 mai 2015, par JeffI am using ffmpeg on Windows 8 and I would like to capture the built-in H264 hardware encoded stream from the Logitech c930e camera. The H264 built-in encoded stream is part of the UVC 1.5 interface.
Using this command I have noticed that the c930e exposes two video pins through DirectShow : 0 and 1.
ffmpeg -report -list_options true -f dshow -i video="Logitech Webcam C930e"
[dshow @ 0000000002d89360] Pin "Capture" (alternative pin name "0")
[dshow @ 0000000002d89360] Pin "Capture" (alternative pin name "1")
It doesn’t seem to matter if I choose Pin 0 or 1, I still get raw video from the Logitech c930e webcam. On Linux, the supposed command involves v4l2, but this does not appear to exist in the default Windows version of ffmpeg from http://ffmpeg.zeranoe.com/builds/
Does the default Windows build of ffmpeg support the direct capture of the UVC interface ?
This is the closest I have gotten on this journey, but still isn’t quite right :
ffmpeg -report -f dshow -i video="Logitech Webcam C930e" -s 1920x1080 -r 30 -video_pin_name 1 -vcodec H264 -c copy -f mp4 Logitechc930eFeed.mp4
As of April 17, 2015 I am still trying to figure this out and have two new pieces of info.
I found this interesting article on Logitech’s website instructing the user to change the default Logitech driver to the generic USB Video Device driver :
https://support.logitech.com/en_us/article/Install-native-UVC-drivers-for-your-Logitech-webcam?product=a0qi00000069v0MAAQ#I also found that my C930e had an older firmware (8.0.866), and Logitech recommends updating the firmware to 8.0.875 to fix an unspecified UVC H.264 issue.
So now I have the latest firmware, and am using the generic "USB Video Device" on Windows 8.1.
ffmpeg -list_devices true -f dshow -i
which gives this output :
