• serialize/deserialize decoder context ?

  Is it possible to store and load decoder contexts to resume a decoding session across process launches ?

  


  Context/Goal : use video compression to send image data over an expensive link ; use intermediate frames almost exclusively (hours in between key frames). Allow consumer side to resume decoding in the event of interruption without requiring new key-frames from producer side.

  


• Best alternative to winforms for raspbian ?

  I was planning on creating a small program with a countdown and streaming it to YouTube, with the help of my RPi 3, but I’m having so much trouble with this.

  First, seems like I can’t use winforms nor wine to run it, so I can’t program with C#, which is what i’ve been learning and I’m a little good at.

  Then, I haven’t even found a way to livestream with raspbian... I’ve installed ffmpeg but i can’t install OBS or something like that, just a fix that streams videos or webcams, and I can’t make a 168 hours video.

  I know it’s a horribly noob question, but what can I do ? I’m absolutely lost. I was thinking on making a video that is edited by a script and makes the countdown but I don’t know how to do it.

• ffmpeg Progress Bar - Encoding Percentage in PHP

  I’ve written a whole system in PHP and bash on the server to convert and stream videos in HTML5 on my VPS. The conversion is done by ffmpeg in the background and the contents is output to block.txt.

  Having looked at the following posts :

  Can ffmpeg show a progress bar ?

  and

  ffmpeg video encoding progress bar

  amongst others, I can’t find a working example.

  I need to grab the currently encoded progress as a percentage.

  The first post I linked above gives :

  The $percent_extracted variable echoes zero, and as maths is not my strong point, I really don’t know how to progress here.

  Here’s one line from the ffmpeg output from block.txt (if it’s helpful)

  Please help me output this percentage, once done I can create my own progress bar. Thanks.
