ffmpeg encoding for 3.0 and 3.1 channels in Dolby Digital format (.ac3)
4 novembre 2019, par CC2023I was able to encode .wav to .ac3 (Dolby Digital) via.zz ffmpeg for channel 2.0, 2.1, 4.0, 4.1, 5.0, 5.1, but not channel 3.0 and 3.1.
When I played back .ac3 files on Onkyo 7.2 receiver, error on channel 3.0 and 3.1 was :
3.0 channels :
right channel ok
left channel ok
center channel played back at subwoofer
3.1 channels :
right channel ok
left channel ok
lfe channel ok
center channel played back at surround left speaker (sL)
This is command I used :
ffmpeg -i 3_channel.wav -c:a ac3 3_channel.ac3
ffmpeg -i 3_1_channel.wav -c:a ac3 3_1_channel.ac3My ffmpeg version git-2019-10-28-68f623d
Why I have successful encoding on channel 2.x, 4.x, 5.x, but not 3.x ? thanks ahead for any comments.

Audio drift in Premiere (not VFR)
22 octobre 2019, par petaireI’m getting audio drift in Premiere, and it’s not related (or is it ?) to VFR. I honestly really dont know where this is coming from, but, oh God, Premiere… Obviously, when I read the file in VLC or any other player, it’s fine. But in Premiere…

I think it might be related to this line :
Frame rate : 46.875 fps (1024 SPF)
I’m using this line for ffmpeg encoding :
ffmpeg -err_detect ignore_err -i $1 -preset veryfast -strict -2 -c:v libx264 -vf scale=-1:720 -threads $numberOfThreads $2
Do you know how to force SPF to 25FPS (of the SPF equivalent) ?

ffmpeg convert cdg/mp3 to mp4 but cdg track is always sped up by a second
4 mai 2021, par Carver SI've tried this :

"C:\Program Files\ffmpeg-4.2.1-win64-static\bin\ffmpeg" -i %1 -i %2 -b:v 1M -y -speed 2 "%~dpn1.mp4"

"C:\Program Files\ffmpeg-4.2.1-win64-static\bin\ffmpeg" -i %1 -i %2 -pix_fmt yuv420p -vcodec libx264 -async 1 -speed 2 "%~dpn1.mp4"

Always same result. The file and quality are great, but obv since its karaoke... the lyrics need to match the timing and the converted files lyrics track is always about a full second or so ahead from when I play the original in a Karaoke program. Any ideas on what settings I could play with to help with this ?

Both the original and the converted have the same play length at the end though. so the mp3 track seems to be ok.

EDIT : Added cmd output

Codec AVOption speed () specified for output file #0 (LP_inTheEnd.mp4) has not been used for any stream. The most likely reason is either wrong type (e.g. a video option with no video streams) or that it is a private option of some encoder which was not actually used for any stream.
Stream mapping:
 Stream #0:0 -> #0:0 (cdgraphics (native) -> h264 (libx264))
