    Le fichier zip ici présent contient uniquement les sources de MediaSPIP en version standalone.

  • getting video file duration from adb shell

    I am writing some code using Ui Automator in Android which needs to play video files until END. For most of the files i am able to get the duration in Right bottom of the player and able to give Sleep duration as same of that.

    But for some of the files [mpg] the playback and total duration displaying as 0.00. VLC-Android and PC will be able to display the duration properly like 23seconds .. etc.. I already tried MediaMetaDataRetriever method as mentioned in How to get length in milliseconds of video from URL without video view in Android ? but here also i got ’0’ as duration.

    So, in this case i need some sort of solution which will be able to provide me some solution to get the duration of the file - Either by using adb shell or by passing some commands or some APK which can display duration and can be invoked by command line along with file URI.

    Can anyone please suggest some method.

  • ffmpeg extend (not resize) video size by adding box or border

    Say I have a video of a peculiar resolution such as 1280x718 and I want to change this to 1280x720.

    



    But instead of interpolating 718 pixels vertically to 720, I'd rather just add one line at the top and bottom.

    



    So basically, I'm looking for a way to tell ffmpeg to create an output video of 1280x720, where input video of 1280x718 covers up the center, and all uncovered area is black or whatever.

    



    I guess we could call this the opposite of cropping. I know how to resize a video (with interpolation) but in this case I don't want to rescale or mess with the original content, just add a small border.

    


  • FFmpeg, video from images : how to prevent landscape image fit/stretching , when video is in portrait mode

    i am working with ffmpeg library, and i am trying to create a video from list of images, and everything works well except one thing.

    When i am trying to create ex. portrait video 480x800, all landscape images (800x480) becomes stretched and fit . Please see image below :)

    Question : How do I fix the issue of the video to make top and bottom spaces empty , when landscape image presents in portrait video ?
