• FFMPEG - Instructional video combining letters to a background to form a word

  I'm trying to help with coding a FREE site for instructional video for kids on how to write in australian. To help with the current pandemic that we are experiencing right now.

  



  Anyway, I'm new to ffmpeg and would like to do the letter combinations programatically using it.

  



  So basically I have a form where teachers or parents can enter a word, and I have video instructions for each letter, and would combine them to form the word.

• Browser downloads video stream instead of playing it

  I’m trying to stream video from IP camera to browser using ffmpeg and ffserver but if I try to open stream in any browser it starts downloading it instead of playing. I’ve tried to display video using <video></video> tag but that doesn’t work either : Here is the code I used :

  The stream works fine in vlc, it is H.264 stream. ffserver shows buffer underflow errors when I try to view it in chrome.
  When I try to open it in firefox I get No video with supported format and MIME type found error on video element.

  How do I make it work ? Also, are there any tools for debugging video streams on Chrome or Firefox (console doesn’t show any errors) ?

• Downloading a Few Seconds of Audio from a Youtube Video with ffmpeg and youtube-dl Results in [youtube] : No such file or directory error

  Below is the program that I wrote :

  ffmpeg -ss 60 -t 10 -i $(youtube-dl -f 140 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kDCk3hLIVXo) output.mp3

  This is supposed to get 10 seconds of audio starting at the one minute mark of the video and write it to output.mp3. If I run the youtube-dl command separately, and then the ffmpeg command with the entire video audio as input, it works. But, I do not want to download the entire video as well as create a new file with only a few seconds of audio.

  In its current state, I am getting [youtube] : No such file or directory errors. Does anyone know how I can fix this and keep it in one line ?
