• ffmpeg throw a silent video output when trying to merge video and audio

  I tried to combine mp4 format video and wav format audio.
The video is shorter than the audio and start second is same as 00:00.

  


  I used command as bellows :

  


  ffmpeg -i video.mp4 -i audio.wav  -filter_complex "[0:a]volume=0.2[A];[1:a][A]amerge[Aout]" -map 0:v -map [Aout] -y -shortest output_video.mp4


  


  The problem is the output_video.mp4 is a silent video without the sound.

  


  How can I get the output_video.mp4 with sound from audio.wav ?

• omxplayer freezes with videos generated with FFMPEG

  Omxplayer won't play any videos generated with FFmpeg on a Raspberry Pi

  


  I found this thread showing that it is necessary to include '-profile baseline -level 3.0' parameters : https://github.com/popcornmix/omxplayer/issues/577

  


  The full command is :

  


  ffmpeg -framerate 1/10 -pattern_type glob -i '*.jpg' -c:v libx264 -pix_fmt yuv420p -profile baseline -level 3.0 images.mp4


  


  I did that and now I am experiencing intermittent behavior.

  


  Sometimes it works and sometimes it does not work. I cannot explain why/when it plays or not.

  


  I also found a thread showing that it is necessary to upgrade the firmware and player. I did that and still having the same issue.

  


  Here is an example. First time it plays ok. Second time it freezes.

• Using ffserver to stream older IP cam MJPEG to RTSP

  I have an older Sony IP camera that has an MJPEG stream. I need to connect this to an NVR that only takes ONVIP or RTSP and I’m trying to use ffserver and ffmpeg to convert the MJPEG stream to RTSP but it’s not working. Any have some idea of what I may be doing wrong ? Saw an error in the attempted playback about an unsupported Protocol.

  When I use VLC to open the stream, it cannot be found :
