MediaSPIP v0.2

MediaSPIP 0.2 est la première version de MediaSPIP stable.
Sa date de sortie officielle est le 21 juin 2013 et est annoncée ici.
Le fichier zip ici présent contient uniquement les sources de MediaSPIP en version standalone.
Comme pour la version précédente, il est nécessaire d’installer manuellement l’ensemble des dépendances logicielles sur le serveur.
Si vous souhaitez utiliser cette archive pour une installation en mode ferme, il vous faudra également procéder à d’autres modifications (...)

Dans MédiaSPIP, une rubrique a 2 noms : catégorie et rubrique.
Les différents documents stockés dans MédiaSPIP peuvent être rangés dans différentes catégories. On peut créer une catégorie en cliquant sur "publier une catégorie" dans le menu publier en haut à droite ( après authentification ). Une catégorie peut être rangée dans une autre catégorie aussi ce qui fait qu’on peut construire une arborescence de catégories.
Lors de la publication prochaine d’un document, la nouvelle catégorie créée sera proposée (...)

Utilité
Sur le site principal, une instance de mutualisation est définie par plusieurs choses : Les données dans la table spip_mutus ; Son logo ; Son auteur principal (id_admin dans la table spip_mutus correspondant à un id_auteur de la table spip_auteurs)qui sera le seul à pouvoir créer définitivement l’instance de mutualisation ;
Il peut donc être tout à fait judicieux de vouloir récupérer certaines de ces informations afin de compléter l’installation d’une instance pour, par exemple : récupérer le (...)

avconv on debian jessie throws error when trying to convert raw video to mp4

I am trying to convert a raw video captured using a Logitech USB Cam(YUYV) to mp4 using avconv. I have tried the below to do so :

avconv -i out.raw -c copy output.mp4

avconv -i out.raw -vcodec copy -acodec copy output.mp4

but I get an error as shown below.

root@beaglebone:~/BBB_CV/boneCV# avconv -i out.raw -c copy output.mp4

I have checked here, but did not find any relevant examples for the above purpose.

Edit : Added more details—

I tried doing the below by adding the infile options as suggested :

root@beaglebone:~/BBB_CV/boneCV# avconv -s 640x480 -framerate 30 -pix_fmt yuyv422 -f rawvideo -i out.raw -c copy output.mp4

This got me rid of the previous error and some new ones popped up as shown below.

The output.mp4 is being generated but when tried to open it throws an error.

Edit : I ran a "sudo apt-get install libav-tools" an then tried. This is what I got.

I ran "ffmpeg -s 640x480 -framerate 30 -pix_fmt yuv420p -f rawvideo -i out.raw output.mp4" and below is what I got.

I am trying to download a section from approximately 06:40:00 to 06:44:00 from this stream : https://kick.com/grossgore/videos/8d36c089-ff2b-4167-9c92-bc8a3a9d033b

I found the m3u8 URL : https://stream.kick.com/ivs/v1/196233775518/hDSBAWziz2jA/2025/5/25/12/56/LrW3TwZUg7Xk/media/hls/1080p60/playlist.m3u8

I run the following command :

ffmpeg -ss 06:40:00 -to 06:44:00 -i https://stream.kick.com/ivs/v1/196233775518/hDSBAWziz2jA/2025/5/25/12/56/LrW3TwZUg7Xk/media/hls/1080p60/playlist.m3u8 -c copy out.mp4&#xA;

The command runs for a while, but for some reason the output file is empty once the program has finished. How do I figure out what the problem is ?

FFmpeg RTSP stream to remote MediaMTX server disconnects after a few seconds [closed]

I'm new to RTSP and MediaMTX, and I'm trying to live stream my screen using FFmpeg and MediaMTX for a specific use case.

Everything works perfectly when both FFmpeg and MediaMTX run on the same machine.
However, when I move MediaMTX to a remote server, the stream becomes unstable — I can't maintain a connection or view the stream reliably.

Here is the FFmpeg command I'm using from the client machine :

ffmpeg -f gdigrab -framerate 10 -offset_x 0 -offset_y 0 -video_size 1920x1080 -i desktop -f lavfi -i anullsrc -vcodec libx264 -tune zerolatency -g 30 -sc_threshold 0 -preset ultrafast -tune zerolatency -f rtsp rtsp:///live/stream&#xA;

My questions :

What could be causing the RTSP stream to disconnect when streaming to a remote MediaMTX server ?

Are there any recommended network settings or MediaMTX configuration tweaks to ensure a stable stream over the internet ?

Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks !
