MP3 to Youtube video format [on hold]
17 janvier 2014, par user3027136I am trying to convert some audio files and upload them to Youtube ; I am using a .jpg image as video and the .mp3 files as audio.
I've already managed to do it using ffmpeg, and it works on my computer (video plays the audio and shows the picture), but every time I upload it Youtube tells me the format is wrong, no matter what I instruct ffmpeg to do : avi, mp4, mpeg, mov atc.
Below is the command I used (ffmpeg) :for %A IN (*.mp3) DO ffmpeg -i "Youtube.jpg" -i "%A" -acodec copy "%A.avi"
Any improvement is appreciated as well as any other suggestion on how to upload mp3s on Youtube

WMA Lossless and ProRes Encoder
4 mars 2012, par Multimedia Mike — GeneralThe projects (FFmpeg / Libav) just got a WMA lossless decoder. For those keeping score, this means that there are open source methods for decoding every single one of Microsoft’s proprietary audio codecs (Windows Media Audio, or WMA) : WMA v1, WMA v2, WMA9/Pro, WMA Voice, and now WMA lossless. Currently, it’s only advertised to decode 16-bit audio (no 24-bit). Also, when I first tried it a few days ago, it didn’t decode the very end of the single sample file I concocted many years ago (luckynight.wma). But that might be cleared up by now.
Some other recent developments in the projects that I wanted to call out : An encoder for the Apple ProRes encoder from Kostya ; XWD (X window dump) image decoding and encoding from Paul B. Mahol ; a Sun rasterfile encoder from Aneesh Dogra.
And then there’s the new playback system for CDXL files, also courtesy of Paul B. Mahol. I wasn’t familiar with this format until I wrote this post, which is surprising, given the format’s vintage. This was a CD-ROM FMV format favored for Amiga computers. Here it is in all its 160x120x10fps glory :
That’s the amigaball.cdxl sample available in the repository. The sample is 3835910 bytes large and plays for about 24 seconds. This yields a data rate of about 159 kbytes/second. So, yeah, single-speed CD-ROM FMV.

Adding a color filter at specific intervals in ffmpeg
9 avril 2015, par JamieLI am looking to add the color filter to a rtmp stream in ffmpeg at specific time intervals, say for 10 seconds every 10 seconds. I have tried two approaches. The first :
-vf "color=#8EABB8@0.9:480x208,select='gte(t,10)*lte(t,20)' [color];[in][color] overlay [out]"
This streams only the 10 seconds indicated by the select and applies the color filter rather than playing the whole stream and applying the filter to just those 20 seconds.
I then learnt about split and fifo and tried this approach :
-vf "[in] split [no-color], fifo, [with-color] overlay [out]; [no-color] fifo, select='gte(t,10)*lte(t,20)' [with-color]"
I would expect this to play the entire stream, and then select the 10 seconds specified so that I can apply filters, but it does the same as first approach and just plays the 10 seconds selected rather than the entire stream.
Thanks in advance.
