  • Stream audio from STDIN through VLC for SDR

    13 décembre 2018, par doghousedean

    I’m trying to get an audio stream from a Raspberry pi 2 to my windows desktop.

    The RTL SDR on my pi is great when using spyserver but there are some certain applications that cannot connect to it, echoes the meteor detector for example

    Streaming the audio from the pi to my desktop could work with the stereo mixer input device

    My idea is to use VLC but cannot figure it out

    I figured I could send the rtl_fm output to ffmpeg and then to vlc but I just can’t figure out the options I need.

    $ rtl_fm -f 143.050 -M wbfm -s 180k -E deemp | ffmpeg -acodec pcm_u8 -f oga - | vlc - -I dummy --sout '#standard{access=http,mux=ogg,dst=localhost:8080}'

    This gives similar output to above with the differences below

    Output #0, oga, to 'pipe:':
    Output file #0 does not contain any stream
    Signal caught, exiting!

    User cancel, exiting...

  • How to deal ffplay bein too slow playing iPhone's videos ?

    21 janvier 2019, par Mikhail T.

    Trying to play a 3840x2160 video recorded by an iPhone 7 (@30fps), I get frequent pauses — in the video, music keeps playing.

    This happens both in firefox and when ffplay is invoked to play the file directly — from command-line. The CPU is a dual E6700 @3.20GHz — not super fast, but it should be able to play smoothly, shouldn’t it ? Video is Intel’s "series 4" integrated chipset — again, not a speed-daemon, but it should be adequate... Support for Intel’s VA API is included.

    I build ffmpeg-4.1 from source using FreeBSD port. As you can see, the port has a maddening amount of options — including several different ones for the 264-codec.

    Any suggestions for improving the decoding speed to the point, where it is watchable by a human ? Thank you !

  • linux ffmpeg Live streaming cannot connect to another PC

    9 juin 2019, par Tae-Yeong

    I’m set ffserver and ffmpeg streaming code in the linux console terminal.

    ffserver => ffserver -f ./ffserver.conf (terminal 1)

    ffmpeg => ffmpeg -r 15 -s 640x480 -f video4linux2 -i /dev/video0 http://mylocalhostip:8090/feed1.ffm (terminal 2)

    It was working success in the localhost.
    But It could not connect other PC or Mobile.
    Firewall set disable.

    My desktop and mobile have a normal Internet connection.

    I want to Live-Streaming connect other PC or Mobile.
    How can I do ?

    Hardware = LattePanda
    OS = Ubuntu 16.04

    < ffserver.conf >

    HTTPPort 8090

    bind to all IPs aliased or not

    max number of simultaneous clients

    MaxClients 1000

    max bandwidth per-client (kb/s)

    MaxBandwidth 10000

    Suppress that if you want to launch ffserver as a daemon.
