HTML5 - ffmpeg encoded x264 video fails to play in Chrome/IE
11 août 2014, par Saren ArteriusI have totally no idea why http://jiro.wtako.net/video/39 does work in all browsers while http://jiro.wtako.net/video/40 only works in Firefox.
1 is encoded by MediaCoder (x264 + Nero encoder) and 2 is encoded by Arch Linux ffmpeg.
ffmpeg version :
ffmpeg 1:2.3.1-1
x264 version :
libx264 1:142.20140311-6
It seems that video size, frame rate, profile, level, bitrate does not affect whether the video can be played, because I have tried all these parameters, none of these works :
$ ffmpeg -i in.avi -c:v libx264 -crf 25 -pix_fmt yuv420p -preset veryslow -vf scale=640:360 -c:a aac -strict -2 -b:a 192k out.mp4
$ ffmpeg -i in.avi -c:v libx264 -crf 25 -pix_fmt yuv420p -preset veryslow -vf scale=640:360 -c:a aac -strict -2 -b:a 128k out.mp4
$ ffmpeg -i in.avi -c:v libx264 -crf 28 -pix_fmt yuv420p -preset veryslow -c:a aac -strict -2 -b:a 192k out.mp4

ffmpeg conversion x264 [error] : malloc of size 769152 failed
18 décembre 2014, par prashanthpI am trying to convert video recorded from Android smart watch (.mp4 format) to a format (.mp4) which playable on all browsers. The video recorded from smart watch is not playing in the browsers. so, i’ve used ffmpeg to convert in into a playable mp4 format.
But sometimes it is showing error as
x264 [error]: malloc of size 503008 failed
What is the reason for this. Sometimes it’s getting converted and sometimes it is showing error .
Here is the console output.

How to pass command line arguments to FFMpeg in iOS
23 septembre 2014, par Arif NadeemThis is a beginner question, since I am new to iOS(I started it today), so please pardon my ignorance and lack of iOS knowledge.
After building and successfully using FFMpeg for Android I wanted to do the same for iOS.
So I built FFMpeg successfully for iOS by following this link, but after all that pain I am confused as how to use FFMpeg in iOS, I mean how can I pass command line arguments tolibffmpeg.a
file ?I am assuming that there must be a way to run the .a file as an executable and then pass command line arguments and hope for FFMpeg to do the magic, I did the same in Android and it worked beautifully.
I am also aware that I can use ffmpeg.c class and use its main method, but the question remains ; how do I pass those command line arguments ?
Is there something I am supposed to be aware of here, is the thing what I am doing now correct or am I falling short on my approach ?
I wanted to mix two audio files, so the command for doing that would be
ffmpeg -i firstSound.wav -i secondSound.wav -filter_complex amix=inputs=2:duration=longest finalOutput.wav
, how do I do the same in iOS ?Can someone please shed some light on this ?
