• ffmpeg concat video length is not the sum of durations

  I’m simply trying to put some images together into a video with specific durations. I’m using the command

  ffmpeg -f concat -i concat.txt -r 30 video.mp4

  I can see it clearly saying Duration 00:00:19.00 (as it should be) and then later saying that the final video is 00:00:20.86. How do I get these numbers to match ?

• concat 2 mini audio files and make a loop and add a background music

  I Need to concatenate 2 small audio files with loop and add background music in a single command.

  



  I am capable to concatenate two audio files with a background music. My above given code is working.

  



  ffmpeg -i 1.mp3 -i 2.mp3 -i background.mp3 
-filter_complex "[0:0][1:0]concat=n=2:v=0:a=1,volume=1dB,aformat=fltp, pan=stereo|c0=c0|c1=c0[a0]; 
[2]volume=0.5dB,aformat=fltp,pan=stereo|c0=c0|c1=c1[a1];[a0][a1]amix=inputs=2:duration=longest,aformat=fltp[a]"
-map "[a]" -strict -2 -y output.mp3


  



  but i want to a make a loop of the concatenated files till the end of the background music. background music is longer than approx 5 times from concatenated files.

  



  If someone can suggest a single command solution.

  



  I know about amovie tag but unfortunately its not possible to use in here because amovie requires file name which is not possible with concatenated files as per my knowledge.

  



  Can anyone help me how can i achieve my goal !

• Wrong duration of the result video when using ffmpeg filter complex concat [closed]

  I am trying to do a trivial task of concatenating
several segments of the original video/audio
into a new file (and dropping the rest) :

  


      ffmpeg -i bdt.mkv -filter_complex '
    [0:v]trim=start=10.0:end=15.0,setpts=PTS-STARTPTS[0v];
    [0:a]atrim=start=10.0:end=15.0,asetpts=PTS-STARTPTS[0a];
    [0:v]trim=start=65.0:end=70.0,setpts=PTS-STARTPTS[1v];
    [0:a]atrim=start=65.0:end=70.0,asetpts=PTS-STARTPTS[1a];[0v][0a][1v]
    [1a]concat=n=2:v=1:a=1[outv][outa]' -map [outv] -map [outa] out.mp4


  


  When I am trying to watch out.mp4 after that, it has the original duration of bdt.mkv (70 minutes) and not 10 seconds, as I would expect.

  


  What am I doing wrong ?

  The problem is related to the formats. If the output format is mkv too, the problem disappears. But when I use mp4, that I need, the problem persists.
