The start of Input #0 is 648413.295900, and the start of Input #1 is 648413.884042.

I’ve been able to keep the audio and video in very close sync by subtracting the two values (which I assume are wallclock values), and using the asetpts audio filter to delay the audio stream of the recorded mpeg-2 file by that amount.

I’d like to be able to do this exactly though, and that value changes slightly every time I start a new capture. Not to mention, I’d like to be able to do this reliably on different machines, where I assume the value will most likely be different, thus using a calculation as opposed to a fixed number is obviously the best option, if it’s possible.

Is there a way to subtract the wallclock start time of input #0 from the wallclock start time of input #1 ? I’d like to do this inside the asetpts filter, instead of manually finding the difference from a previous run, which again is slightly different every time...

I was thinking something like -af asetpts=PTS-([1:0]RTCSTART-[0:0]RTCSTART)/TB might work, but I have no idea how to format it.

    Thanks in advance !

  • FFMpeg Concat Error - What needs to be changed ?

19 avril 2018, par Andrew Baldinger

I have a tv episode video (let’s say episode.mp4). I also have a short, 20 second closing credit video that I want to append to various episodes (let’s say closing.mp4) The episode and closing are always Mp4, h264. The frame sizes are also the same. The audio codecs do vary, though. I would like to concat using concat demuxer to avoid having to re-encode. I tried doing this, but it gives me an error. I would like to make any necessary encoding changes to the short closing clip (so I would create multiple closing files, each matching the main episode file I want to add it to). What do I need to additionally make sure matches with the two videos to be able to use concat demuxer ? How would I edit the closing clip to match the episode ?

Here is a probe of the ending clip :

Finally, I am running Windows 10 and here is a probe on my setup :

I created a version of the ending with the same screen size and audio codec as the episode. But, when I try to concat, the resulting video is much longer (1:03:00) than it should be (about 42 mins), and it freezes when played. Here is the concat :

  • You can generate a video with audio and videos clip with ffmpeg

8 mai 2018, par Jhonny Luis

I am making an application in which I have to generate a single video clip of x duration, I was recommended to use the ffmpeg but I do not know if it could be created and if possible how the structure would be, since I understand that you need a file with a structure in which the path is established in this case videos and audio, I am working on codeigniter with php 7, I have already executed the ffmpeg to change the format of a video.

The question is the following, from a database I bring the list of the route of the videos its duration and weight, equal with the audios, the thing is how I can do to create the video with ffmpeg from this.
