  • ffmpeg save difference between 2 videos to file

    I'm currently trying to learn everything related to videos and encountered a problem that I need help with.

    


    The Question is : How can I save the difference between 2 videos to a seperate file with ffmpeg ?
    
For example here is the ffplay command I'm trying with :

    ffplay -f lavfi "movie=left.mp4,setpts=PTS-STARTPTS,split=3[a0][a1][a2];

    In this case I would want to have the bottom left video saved to a new file.
    
Can someone help me get together the right ffmpeg filter and explain the proccessing of ffmpeg ?

    I have two videos which I want to merge. Both have same resolution. The second video does not have any audio

    


    ffmpeg -i test.mp4 -i picture.mp4 -filter_complex "[0:v] [0:a] [1:v] [1:a] concat=n=1:v=2:a=1 [v] [a]" -map "[vv]" -map "[aa]" mergedVideo.mp4

    


    this is the command that I am using but I am getting the following error
Stream specifier ':a' in filtergraph description [0:v] [0:a] [1:v] [1:a] concat=n=2:v=2:a=1 [v] [a] matches no streams.

    


    I am not very familiar with ffmpeg commands but I guess I am giving some wrong -filter complex values

    


  • FFMPEG - Concat Videos + Add Audio

    I’m trying to pipe some videos into an ffmpeg command which will concat the videos (keeping their audio) and mix a background audio track over the whole thing. I need the video to end when the audio does.

    However right now this doesn’t work right. The music cuts out after the first video, and ffmpeg doesnt stop encoding when music stops. It seems simple enough but I’ve been working at this all night, any help would be appreciated.

    ffmpeg -y -hide_banner -protocol_whitelist file,pipe -f concat -safe 0 -i pipe: -i "music.mp3" -filter_complex "[1:a]afade=in:0:d=10,volume=0.5[music];[0:a][music]amix=duration=longest[a]" -map "0:v" -map "[a]" -c:v libx264 -x264-params keyint=120:scenecut=0 -c:a aac -ac 1 -ar 22050 -movflags faststart -r 30 -fflags genpts "%random%.mp4"
