  • Automated installation script of MediaSPIP

    25 avril 2011, par

To overcome the difficulties mainly due to the installation of server side software dependencies, an "all-in-one" installation script written in bash was created to facilitate this step on a server with a compatible Linux distribution.
You must have access to your server via SSH and a root account to use it, which will install the dependencies. Contact your provider if you do not have that.
The documentation of the use of this installation script is available here.

  • ffmpeg command m4v to flv but video streaming is very slow [migrated]

20 décembre 2012, par Pradeep Singh

I am using this command to convert videos from m4v and avi to flv :

    ffmpeg -i 'video_1355440448.m4v' -s '640x360' -sameq -ab '64k' -ar '44100' -f 'flv' -y video_1355440448.flv

This command converted the video into flv but video streaming is very slow. Video length is 9-10 minutes its taking time 2 hours to load. How do I make it load faster ?

  • FFMPEG - speed up/slow down video, add jitter etc

    27 septembre 2019, par Darrell

I’m trying to put together a Windows script that will process short videos in a folder.
The videos will be shot at a high frame rate 60+ fps and be about 4-5 secs long.

Basically I am looking to make various style clips, using fast/slow effects, back and forth etc.
So, the script might process a video, make it start normal speed, then slow motion. Next video might be normal speed, slomo, normal speed slomo. Next video might be forwards, back, forwards back, slomo.

See example : (this is a compliation, I’m looking at processing individual videos in a folder.)

I’m guessing there is no way to do this, other than splitting a clip using FFMPEG, processing the bits, then merging back together ? I can’t seem to find a way to do it as one clip.

  • Adjust —preset slow

28 juillet 2016, par Henrik Gramner
    Adjust —preset slow

    * Swap —me umh for —trellis 2. They have a similar effect on performance
but the latter gives slightly better results in most cases.
    * Change —b-adapt from 2 to 1. Negligible difference in quality since the
    b-adapt 1 improvements, but it’s significantly faster.

Also remove a redundant assignment from veryfast (—me hex is set by default).
