    We don’t claim to be the only ones doing what we do ... and especially not to assert claims to be the best either ... What we do, we just try to do it well and getting better ...
    The following list represents softwares that tend to be more or less as MediaSPIP or that MediaSPIP tries more or less to do the same, whatever ...
    We don’t know them, we didn’t try them, but you can take a peek.

  • How to make `mktime` format with milliseconds ?

    20 septembre 2019, par Mantas Kildišis

    I need make 24 frames per second with PHP ffmpeg. This is current format of

    $t = mktime(0, 0, 0, 1, 1, 98);

    Later I use this function

    exec("/usr/local/bin/ffmpeg -ss " . date("H:i:s", $t) . " -i {$file} -f mjpeg -vframes 1 -s {$size} {$tmpfile}");

    In date("H:i:s", $t) I need make date("H:i:s.milliseconds", $t). This is not working date("H:i:s.u", $t) because of mktime format (hours, minutes, seconds, day. month, years) I guess.

    So, is it possible to add milliseconds to mktime ?

  • how to solve ffmpeg video merging complain about parameters mismatching

    22 septembre 2019, par mohammad rostami siahgeli

    I’m trying to concatenate an intro video to a main video. Here’s my command :

    ffmpeg -i C:\Temp\intro.mp4 -i C:\Temp\main.mp4 -filter_complex "[0:v:0][0:a:0][1:v:0][1:a:0]concat=n=2:v=1:a=1[outv][outa]" -map "[outv]" -map "[outa]" C:\Temp\output.mp4

    When I run this command in cmd, I get the following error :

    I’m not a video ninja. I know parameters are different, but I have no idea after hours of search on how to solve this. A lot of online video services concatenate these two videos and give me a reasonable result. They have a GUI though. I need to do it in code, so that I can automate it.

    How can I solve these errors ?

  • how to make ffmpeg process large files faster ?

    12 octobre 2019, par Hakim Douib

    I am using ffmpeg to view video for dash player. But the videos used are more than 1GB, and the server has
    60 GB of RAM
    Ten cores

    The server takes more than 50 hours to process a video.
    The method I use is by separating each operation thread to make it faster ,
    and the files in the end have size between 2 to 5 GB

    dash params variable

    VP9_DASH_PARAMS="-tile-columns 4 -frame-parallel 1"

    cmd :

    ffmpeg  -i  vid_origenal.mp4 -c:v libx265  -s 1920x1080 -b:v 3000k -keyint_min 150 -g 150 ${VP9_DASH_PARAMS} -an -f webm -dash 1  1080.webm >/dev/null 2>&1 &

    I use this for all qualities

    thanks
