• ffmpeg transition effects between images

  i want ffmpeg command to do transition effect between images.

  ffmpeg -y -r 1/5 -i img00%d.jpg -loop_input -shortest -i 4.mp3 -acodec copy out.avi

  above command is correctly working,
  now i want to do transition effects between each image like

  • fade in
  • fade out
  • left slide
  • right slide

  already tried the below code not working correctly...

  ffmpeg -y -r 1/5 -i img00%d.jpg -loop_input -shortest -i 4.mp3 -vf fade=in:0:3 out.avi

• I tried to make an avi file from images using ffmpeg but the avi file is very small why ?

  I tried this :

  In C# i'm creating 100 bitmap files :

  for (int i = 0; i < 100; i++)

  Then i'm using the ffmpeg.exe command line to create an avi file movie of all the bitmaps.

  And before it i tried :

  When i tried to use jpg files i got an error say jpeg is not supported.
  Then when the files were 1920X1080 i got an error say this resolution is not supported.

  Now i did it again and hot this :

  The results are a very small out.mp4 or if it was jpg and avi before files.
  For now the out.mp4 file on the hard disk is : 73.8KB

  What i want is to create in the CSHARP 100 jpg files then make one avi file of them using the ffmpeg with h264 of mpeg4 .
