  • make video from image file using ffmpeg

4 août 2014, par Roylisto Putra Pradana

i have 64 images sequence and i want to make a video using that images.

you can download the images here

    i use ffmpeg in ubuntu.
    here’s my command

    ffmpeg -r 60 -f image2 -s 1360x768 -i "/home/roylisto/Documents/Tugas Akhir/JAva version/UAVSystem/UAVSystem/tmp/result%d.png" -vcodec libx264 -crf 20 "/home/roylisto/Documents/Tugas Akhir/JAva version/UAVSystem/UAVSystem/render/test.mp4"

it works but only 39 images has generated to a video. My question is why ffmpeg not render all images in that folder into a video, what is my mistake and how to solve it ?

  • how to configure ffserver to save the incoming feed in a different file every 30 mins or so

29 mai 2014, par Muhammad Ali

I want to have a backlog of my camera video in files of 30 mins duration. What i’ve read so far from the internet about ffserver has allowed me to connect all my cameras to ffserver using ffmpeg and receive the video on another system using VLC or ffplay .

Now what I want is to store the camera video in a different file preferably named as time-stamp. And keep streaming the live video.

Once there is a list of 30 mins files. I’d like to have a playlist which can be opened in VLC player of files that have been saved and can be played.

sort of like a remote media player with video sources coming from ffserver with playlist and 30 mins duration video clips.

  • best approach for extract / extracting images / image sequence from videos / video file in Java

20 février 2017, par Daniel Ruf

Well, there is FFMPEG and some Java bindings and wrappers for it but I need to distribute for each specific platform the right binary file of FFMPEG.

Isnt there any plain Java solution or library without any dependencies like FFMPEG for converting a video fle to an image sequence ?

Solutions like FFMPEG, XUGGLER or JMF (abandoned) are not suitable. Is there really no pure Java solution for this ?

Maybe for specific video codecs / files at least ?

I just want to extract the images from the video file to jpeg / png files and save them to the disk
