  • Why do I get "method DESCRIBE failed : 401 Unauthorized "

    28 juillet 2021, par TheOliveTurtle

    Let me explain my problem, I am trying to access different channels in a DVR system.
I have successfully gotten access to a single camera (channel 1) by using opencv as such :

    public_link = 'rtsp://test:test@192.168.1.48/cam/realmonitor'

cap = cv2.VideoCapture(public_link, cv2.CAP_FFMPEG)

    The problem is I can't access the other channels with these parameters :

    public_link = 'rtsp://test:test@192.168.1.48/cam/realmonitor?channel=3&subtype=0'

cap = cv2.VideoCapture(public_link, cv2.CAP_FFMPEG)

    I've tried the following links :

    • rtsp ://test:test@192.168.1.48/cam/realmonitor ?channel=3&subtype=0
    •

    • rtsp ://test:test@192.168.1.48/cam/realmonitor ?channel=3&subtype=1
    •

    • rtsp ://192.168.1.48/cam/realmonitor ?channel=3&subtype=0&authbasic=dGVzdDp0ZXN0
    •

    I get this following error :

    [rtsp @ 00000201ce582cc0] method DESCRIBE failed : 401 Unauthorized

    I've noticed that even if I test with this URL (rtsp ://test:test@192.168.1.48/blablabla) it works just fine ! (ONLY Channel #1) but when I insert the symbol '=' into the URL string, I get the above error.

    It's really frustrating, Any sort of help would be much appreciated.

    PS : the user 'test' has admin privileges in the system.

    I've tried to run the test with plain ffmpeg command like such :
ffmpeg -loglevel debug -i "rtsp://test:test@192.168.1.48/cam/monitor?channel=3&subtype=0" ./folder/output.m3u8

    I get the following error :

    PS C:\Users\cjhou> ffmpeg -loglevel debug -i "rtsp://test:test@192.168.1.48/cam/realmonitor?channel=3&subtype=0" .\folder\output.m3u8

  • FFMpeg mixing audio to video creates silent video after audio is added,

    25 mars 2018, par 1234567

    mixing audio to video creates silent video after audio is added, using FFMpeg

    this is the command I am using

    "-y","-i",j,"-filter_complex","amovie="+audio+":loop=999,asetpts=N/SR/TB,atrim=0:18,adelay=50000|50000,aformat=sample_fmts=fltp:sample_rates=44100:channel_layouts=stereo,volume=1.5[a1];[0:a]aformat=sample_fmts=fltp:sample_rates=44100:channel_layouts=stereo,volume=2.0[a2];[a1][a2]amerge,pan=stereo:c0code>

    I have a video which is 2 mins 7 seconds ling, I want to ’mix’ audio to a part starting from 50 seconds to 68 seconds

    What i want is to keep original sound from video and mix audio to existing sound of video(not over write) it, (keep old video sound and new audio in video)

    what happens is till 50 seconds video has its own sound, from 50 -68 the audio over writes the video sound and from then till end it is silent

    what i want is video to have its sound through out the video and mix from 50 -68 seconds the audio to it

    this graphic can explain a bit of what i want and what i am getting

    What i want enter image description here
    what i am gettingenter image description here
    another problem that I am facing is
    if i try this on a silent video (video with no sound at all) this code fails this is the error that I am getting

    how can we add audio to a silent video

  • How to divide my video horizontally using ffmpeg (without any other side-effects) ?

    1er février 2021, par Mayank Thapliyal

    I am processing my video(640 X 1280 dimensions). I want to divide my video horizontally into 2 separate videos(each video will now be 640 X 640 in dimensions),then combine them horizontally (video dimension will be now 1280 X 640)in a single video. I did the research on the internet and my issue was solved and not solved at the same time

    I made a batch file and add these commands in it :-

    ffmpeg -i input.mp4 -filter_complex "[0]crop=iw:ih/2:0:0[top];[0]crop=iw:ih/2:0:oh[bottom]" -map "[top]" top.mp4 -map "[bottom]" bottom.mp4
ffmpeg -i top.mp4 -i bottom.mp4 -filter_complex hstack output.mp4

    Yes,my task got solved but many other issues also came out of it :-

    1.) My output video has NO audio in it. No idea why there is no audio in the end results

    2.) My main video file (on which I am doing all this) is 258 MB in size. But the result was only 38 MB in size. No idea what is happening ? And even worse,I closely looked at the video,results were pretty same (only animation were not as smooth in output file as compared to input file)

    3.) It is taking too much time(I know that computing takes some time but maybe there may be some way/sacrifice to make the process much quicker)

    Thanks in advance for helping me
