  • How to use ffmpeg commands on Android

22 septembre 2015, par Gonzalo Solera

I have the same doubt that here. I want to execute this command on Android :

    ffmpeg -i input.mp4 -s 480x320 output.mp4

So I compiled all the librarys with the NDK following this tutorial, I only need to add this code (I suppose that in a .c file that I have created) but I don´t know how... I will appreciate any help and any example if it was possible !!

  • Android : How to save two overlapped videos as one using mediacodec ?

27 avril 2015, par Seba Niepodam

I want to do something similar to this on android.

I want to load video from file and display it twice with some transformations (mostly resize). And i want to encode it as one video file.

Is it possible to do it in native android ? With mediacodec or in any other way ?

I know there is a ffmpeg but i have trouble compiling it and working with Xamarin.

  • ffmpeg for a android (using tutorial : "ffmpeg and Android.mk")

    13 septembre 2023, par Matthias

I am trying to compile ffmpeg for a android. I have found several posts on this theme but non of these seems to work. If tried to build ffmpeg like it is posted on [1]. Did anybody successfully compile ffmpeg using theses tutorial ?
I am not sure how to realize step 4 to 5.

    STEP4 : Configuring ...

STEP5 : cd to your NDK root dir, type make TARGET_ARCH=arm APP=ffmpeg-org

It seems to me that building an application like it is explained in the tutorial in step 5 need some previous steps. Unfortunately I have no app in the folder to make. I am using the current android ndk release 3 and checked out the actual ffmpeg releases from [3] and [4]. I am thankful for every advice.
