• video editing application on iOS - use AVFoundation or FFMpeg ? [on hold]

  Hi，we will develop a video editing app for ios, users can add text,title or marks on video, and they can also add music, effects or filter for the video. finally, the most important is we can merge the everything that users added in this video and export it. just like iMovie on iOS.
  AVFoundation is qualified for the job ? and what’s the difference between AVFoundation and FFMPeg in iOS ?

• Python - Popen(shlex.split(command), shell=False) - not working with ffmpeg

  I am using Popen(shlex.split(command) to run an ffmpeg command which saves out wav files from a quicktime mov file and also save an ffmpeg log file at the same time. if I use this :

  command = './ffmpeg/ffmpeg -i /Users/me/Documents/MOVS/source.mov -map 0:1 -acodec pcm_s16le -y /Users/me/Documents/MOVS/source_01.wav'
  
  
  
  p = Popen(shlex.split(command), shell=False)

  Then the command completes correctly, but if I add the line which saves out a logfile then it no longer works, so if I use :

  command = './ffmpeg/ffmpeg -i /Users/me/Documents/MOVS/source.mov -map 0:1 -acodec pcm_s16le -y /Users/me/Documents/MOVS/source_01.wav 2> /Users/me/Documents/MOVS/lofFile.txt'

  Then it no longer works. Using either command in the command line, without python, works fine. If I just use :

  p = Popen(command, shell=True)

  Then all works well, but I need to use the shell=False for other reasons.

  I just can’t understand why it breaks by adding the ’correct’ end line of 2> /Users/me/Documents/MOVS/lofFile.txt

• Youtube Dlp returns with error code of 400 [closed]

  I have a python discord bot that can play music and uses discord.py https://discordpy.readthedocs.io/en/stable/. To play get the music I use yt_dlp or youtube_dl. But when requesting a video it returns with a 400 error code.

  


  This is the error with yt_dlp :

  I searched for posts with the same error and they where either old or didn't solve my problem.

  


  I tried importing instead of yt_dlp, I tried importing youtube_dl. But when I make the request it does not answer, no exception and no warning it just does not answer, as if the funcion is empty
